Suggestions that we actually caused the flood are unhelpful and will be reported to the relevant authorities. You know who you are.
We play 100% improvised hip-shaking rock, have never played the same song twice, and sound, live, like a joyous drunken argument between The Necks, Sonic Youth and James Brown.
We all used to live in Adelaide and we all played in bands there too: Mike and Adam used to play together in Happypatch in the very early 90s, and Gus and Mike played together, and sometimes still play, in The Silvermine Tapes.
We call this kind of music 'free rock'. There's no Wikipedia entry for free rock yet. Free rock is like free jazz but it's rock. The sound of a band starting somewhere and playing and moving through time without knowing where it'll end up.
Mike and Adam have each played in a whooole bunch of Adelaide bands. After moving to Melbourne Adam played in Lung UPC for a while and Mike played in d_mobl for a bit there. Mike also plays solo as a machine for finding the centre of the earth.
