Welcome to the Battlestar Aries MySpace Page. My name is Miguel Rivera and I am the Commanding Officer of the Battlestar Aries, the elite ship of the Colonial Defences Forces 6th Fleet. We are an active, community minded, Battlestar Galactica Fan Club based in San Antonio, Texas.
We are affiliated with the Colonial Defense Forces (www.cdfcommand.com). We began this journey in September of 2006 after having served aboard the first Battlestar in Texas, the Battlestar Trident. We hope to continue for many years to come.
We are always looking for new members. While a majority of our activities take place online, we make it a point to get together throughout the year for special activities, picnics, community serivce projects and just overall fun.

My best friend Mark Williams (a.k.a. ) Admiral Kirk needs your vote to win a Star Trek: TOS Captain's Chair in the final round of the Roddenberry. com's 2008 Member of the Year contest. Mark and I "Gary (a.k.a.) Mr. Spock" are best known for our "Kirk And Spock" shows that we put on at conventions. The 2008 STARBASE INDY convention on Thanksgiving weekend featured us as part of their main entertainment. We had performed "Spock's Brain". I hope that we can get the video of our performance on YouTube in the near future.
Another great reason to vote for Mark is that I only live a few miles from his house! After all, I have been and always shall be his friend.
Hi! I received the photos from Colonel Dawley, which, in turn, he received from RADM Rivera. It looked like yaw had lots of fun. Wish I could have been there. One of these days, I may get to meet you, RADM Rivera, and others, from the Aries. My work schedule, lately, has been keeping me busy.

My profile now has vast amounts of Star Trek information about joining the official Starfleet Command. Just click on any of the banners "pictures" and they will take you directly to that link. It's that easy with no copying and pasting. If you are 21 or older you might consider joining Barfleet which is the wild party side of the Star Trek clubs. There are 4 places to click on to get an application to join the Official Starfleet Command: my blog contains an application or click on any of the three pictures of ( big circle with Starfleet Command logo), ( Starfleet Command Uncle Sam) or (tricorder with applications next to it). They will bring up a PDF file. Just copy it, fill it out and mail it in.
I also have many Star Trek bands and conventions listed. Again, just click on the banner (picture) and it will take you to that site.
This is a video with my fellow crew member of the USS Endeavour. It shows us at different events. I'm in it at several points and if you watch closely, you'll see me portraying Data next to a Vulcan who is now our ship's captain.

To Col. Cherry "DRAGONLADY" Oclima and the rest of the crew here at Battlestar Aries ~ greetings here from the UK, yes I am the first member from the UK as listed above! Cherry and you all, thankyou for your kind message about the loss of one of our medieval group, a sudden loss and she will be missed in this season's shows. Similar to you good folk here, the group I'm with are like a second family, well they have indeed become family, especially in a hobby were you are trusting your life in other members. Thanks again for your good wishes and I hope to post and be more active here with my role as a Viper Pilot.
