To all my friends and fans out there, thank you for everything you do for me. On the real, I would not be who I am, and where I'm at without all of your love and support. I will never think about you as anything less than my best friends in the world. To all my fellow myspacer's, keep adding my music and banners to your profile ...you have no idea what things that seem so small like that do for a musician like me. You all rock, keep fighting the good fight to spread the word.
Lately I've been busier than ever, and I rarely have time to respond to everyone. If you have messaged or commented me, and I haven't responded, trust me when I say it's not cause' I don't like you. It is really because I am so pressed for time. I thank you all for your positive comments, photo comments and messages, and please keep em comin' cause' they always make my day. I'll try my very best to hit you back. Also, for all the first-timers on my page, be sure to add me if you like what you hear! Holla.

Let's be honest, nowadays musicians come a dime a dozen, especially when it comes to the internet. There are thousands of artists that all look, act and sound alike. Quite frankly, there is no way to avoid the fact that most of them have no talent, and are simply just trying to imitate those who really do.
Bau Down & FAM are among those select few extremely talented musicians, who continue to set musical trends.
They struck gold in 2007 with their creative hit single, "Take Me Out" which featured the beloved Chicago Cubs announcer Harry Caray. It was the first of several songs that really took off and gave them an overwhelming amount of exposure on the radio and internet avenues like Myspace.
In just over 2 years working together, Bau Down & FAM have truly already made their mark as two of today's elite musicians. With over 600,000 website hits, close to 1 million collective myspace plays, and over 900,000 collective myspace page views total, they have been fortunate to be discovered by thousands of loyal fans via the internet.
All numbers aside, it is clear that they are doing something right. In the past year, there have been countless record label executives and talent scouts continually in pursuit of business relations with the duo. However, no deals have solidified just yet and they seem to be doing just fine without any help.
They stand firm with the mentality that until anyone can offer to do something for them in which they can't do for themselves, they will reap all the benefits of being independent musicians with the world at their fingertips.
I go by the name of Bau Down, but my real name is Kevan Michael Bauman. Born in Memphis, TN but nowadays rep the Chicago, IL area.
On a personal level, I didn't come into this world alone. I was born with a twin brother named Carsten. However, due to health complications, he passed away 8 months later. I never hesitate to tell his story, because he never had a chance to. Though I may be missing my other half, I feel his strength everyday of my life, and helps me write our life story.
On a lighter note, I'd love to tell ya I live a normal life, but I don't.
I graduated high school from Glenbook South, and recently graduated from college at Valparaiso University. Though I learned alot, and loved every minute of it, I only went to school because its the smart thing to do. My real passion is music, and through hard work everyday, that is what I intend to make my lifelong career.
I really feel like I was born for this. I rap and sing, I write and make beats, I produce, mix and master...and ain't shy about saying I'm one of the hardest working and dopest dudes out there. Hopefully ya'll think so too. Been doing it now for about 8 years. Started as something I kinda liked, then over the years grew into something I loved and couldn't live without.
I have accomplished alot over time - including releasing a bunch of very successful albums and mixtapes, performing at big name shows, developing a real loyal fanbase and believe it or not have even turned down contracts with major record labels (which due to legal reasons will remain annonymous) for thinking they know what's best for me and my career. Ballzy? Maybe...but I still believe it was the best decision for me. I've learned being unsigned can be pretty bomb if ya mind and grind is right.
Plus, it's true...success really is all in the eye of the beholder. In my eyes, though I havent scored a Billboard number 1 hit, taken the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine or anything yet, I do amazing things and make successful moves everyday.
Do I know what's best for my career and getting to where I wanna go? Who knows, I really think I do. I've learned and grown alot over time and am extremely confident in who I am, my musical talent, and where I'm headed. I've also only surrounded myself with great like minded and motivated people. But, I'm very independant and have learned not to depend on anyone else for anything. Feel me?
I am a proud Christian, I don't do drugs and don't swear in my rhymes, cause I don't need to. I also try my best not to swear in general...but, I'm not here to judge the people that do. I also have a promise to God that I'll wait until my wedding night to have sex. As you can imagine, that ain't no walk in the park. But with God's help, one day it will be worth every second with the girl I love.
Let's see, in my free time, when I have it...other than my music and some modeling, I hit the gym hard, eat subway, watch history channel and destroy people in mariokart, smash brothers, nba live, madden, and pretty much all video games, bags and beer pong.
I am very blessed. My family and friends are amazing. I'm so thankful for all of them and I wouldn't be who I am without them all. My fans are the best in the world, real talk, and wouldn't be who and where I'm at without them. I wanna thank ya'll for reading, I hope ya enjoy my music as much as I do, hope I've won ya ever and you add me to your friends, but if not...it'sall goooooood! With all your support, I'ma be on top soon enough!
What's up? I just wanted to let you know a few things that we hope are about to be MAJOR! So... we're getting ready to make a HUGE PUSH to get some radio play and possibly national distribution which would get my CD in stores like Best Buy all over the United States... but we're doing it all by our self, with no record labels backing us up... so that means we need YOUR HELP!
So if you're a fan of my music and would like to help get me on your local radio station, you could start off by telling some friends to check me out... by leaving them messages, comments, or even posting bulletins with my banner in them. The more people I have coming to check me out, the more people that can call the request lines and get my songs on the air!
I really appreciate every song play, every song you buy from iTunes... everything the people who like my music do for me. I love making music, and to have people out there who actually like it... makes it that much better!
