About Bau Down Records:
Bau Down Records was founded in 2002 by Bau Down (Kevan Bauman) as an independent record label under Chordcraft Music Company. It has then since, released two solo LP records by Bau Down, produced and worked with many established artists, and is currently in the works of its biggest year since being established.
2007/2008 will be the hosts to 4 major independent record releases from BDR. The collaboration album from Bau Down & FAM "Early Retirement", Bau Down's third solo album "Thy Will Be Done", FAM's debut solo album "A Walk in the Park", and Sevyn's debut album from BDR as well.
Though the music industry today is extremely cutthroat, and being bombarded with underground artists, Bau Down Records is optimistic and set on it's course to greatness. The belief that artists should not be acts, and should steer themselves in their own direction, and where they wish to go with their careers is the central focus.
All to often in the commercialized music industry, artists are signed to a record label, and told what to do, what to wear, and how to act. In other words, they are used as pawns for record executives to make money. However, you will find none of these conditions taking place with any Bau Down Records artists. They are who they are, they are 100% real, and we are set on sharing them and their music with the world.
