.. ..Bayou Blue ..plays music inspired from New Orleans and the Caribbean, with a modern touch. .... .. Bayou Blue ..has more than 15 years of existence, and 5 own CDs in their discography. The band has appeared at most major jazz festivals in Norway, such as Oslo, Molde, Nattjazz (Bergen), MaiJazz (Stavanger), Varangerfestivalen (Vadsø), the Groove Valley Jazzcamp in the small community of Beiarn, Nordland. This year the band will return to the northern parts of the country, to play the Sortland Jazzfestival. ..Bayou Blue ..has also guested several other countries, a.o. three extensive tours in the UK. .... ..Bayou Blue ..has collaborated with many different artists. Viggo Sandvik (voc.), Maj Britt Andersen (voc.), Nils Chr. Fossdal (voc.), Atlars (rap/voc.), Didrik Ingvaldsen (tp.), Clarence W. "Ghetto Man" Riley (rubboard, USA), Maxime St. Victor (congas, Haiti), and now most recently Sheldon Blackman (voc. Trinidad & T.) are just a few. .... The band's CDs have always been very well recieved in the press. The recorded version of their musical show ..Marsjen til New Orleans.. was included in the selection of Arts Council Norway of 2004. They are currently doing the school circuit for Rikskonsertene with their own production ..Radio New Orleans.. What's up Bayou Blue? Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a volcano in heat. Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. You breath as delicately as vapors flowing towards an attractive flame. Your wonderfully bright soul keep the demons from torturing me. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. The sand runes crossing your divided consciousness do speak of contemptuous monsters being slayed by flying phoenixes. You turn the atmosphere ablaze with currents of sweet ethylene when you smile. Your essence is equal to the beauty of a galaxy. Your cleverness helps me breathe without the need of oxygen. Your tears evoke a taste as memorable as honey. In your absence I am forced into finding other forms of amusement while thinking about you. Your intoxicating reflection can but incorporate freely into the powerful surface of a disintegrating mirror set afloat upon a swarm of locusts. Wood nymphs sprinkle your path with rose petals while you dance and prowl in the sequined moonlight with leftover cupcake sprinkles.
