DJ Sloba on most of the beats and all of the cuts.. Long John Johnson with the mic-ness.. oh, and our good friend Serato, coz without him on board, none of this would be possible..
Influences
Anybody with their heart into the music, doing it for the love.. The live Sydney Hip Hop scene, which is blowing up at the moment.. Even all the whack rap crews making us look better.. we appreciate that..
A two man act with One DJ and one MC isn't a new concept. But while most are considered a group, a band, or even just a solo rapper with his mate pressing the play button, the Bay Side Wreckers are a TEAM.
The sound of DJ Sloba's production runs alongside Jabs flow, and the live act enhances it all the more, with Jabs constant crowd interaction and Sloba's cuts wrecking anyone in attendances chances of a quiet night out.
Having been playing live in Sydney for almost 2 years at Festivals (Surry Hills Festival, Earthdance, Boxing Day Clash, The Re-Up), Pubs, RSL's and Tennis Courts, they've shared the stage with the cream of talent Sydney's rising hip-hop scene has to offer, and in 2009 are keen to expand their horizons, and venture out of the South-East of Sydney to the North and West, to wreck sets (in a good way) all over the city and other states.
With a mission objective to Educate, Entertain, and Evoke Emotion, they're currently looking to release a collection of early recordings entitled Tales From The Bay, coming soon, as well as the full length album (with interludes n all!) coming later in the year called Financial Review, which addresses the current financial crisis from a 20 something year old rappers point of view, and is surprisingly optimistic.

Hey champion i really need your support! So i was just swinging by ABC's Rage website when i noticed Rage are going to play the top 50 voted videos of 2009 on the 26th of December. I know, it's not long away now, so that's why i really need your help getting my '4 Tha Js' music video played in the Top 50 of 09, and essentially for the second time on Rage!
I think it would really say a lot about the supportive culture of Australian hip hop if this low budget, independent Aussie hip hop clip got played in the top 50, perhaps it's a long shot, but with your support it's defiantly a possibility. PLEASE show your support and vote for my video via the link above, its easy, just follow the link, search for my video 'Kade MC-4 Tha Js' then VOTE and enter your email etc, it'll be immensely appreciated! Your support means the world, much luv!
