I've had an opportunity to play with some unbelievably talented musicians the past few years. It's easy to become intimidated. It's better to be inspired. Thank you to all my musical mentors; those I've played music with and those whose music I've loved.

The Bedlam Brothers Band is my first love when it comes to playing music. We've been friends since Junior High School, but the music started with The In-Fere Band in 1974. A few members have come and gone and we changed the name sometime back in the 80s, but the core of the band remains the same. They are my brothers and I thank God for them. Life's circumstances and probably the lack of real talent have always kept us from playing music for a living, but I still feel like the music is part of who I really am. Perhaps I'm only deluding myself, but oh what a ride it's been and to those who have supported the band and listened to the music lo these many years, thank you from the bottom of my heart!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ransom at Bozley’s Place-Give Me One Reason
This is a Trophy Dots video featuring my Cousin Laura. She is the reason why so many folks call me "Cousin Dave". I think this video, "What You Get", is awesome and I wanted to share it with my friends.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to have met Duane Allman. I just love a quote by Bill Thames, who was a friend to Duane; "Contemporary music is like drinking tap water; you don't know how bad it's gotten until someone gives you a taste of something different". It was 1970, I was a rebellious 16 years old and I got a taste of something different!***************************************** ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
I never got to see Duane play and I've always felt a sense of loss about that because he was my inspiration for learning to play lead guitar. I really have to say that the Eat A Peach album changed the direction of my music forever. Thanks Duane!
A man whom I believe was also inspired by Duane Allman is Jack Pearson. Jack Pearson makes me want to be a better player and a better man. Jack is not afraid to stand up for his beliefs and his playing and singing are from the heart. With so many incredible guitar players in the world, many that are personal heroes, some that are personal friends, it's difficult for me to say who's the best. Since taste in music is such a subjective matter, I'll just say that Jack's playing speaks to me like nobody elses and leave it at that.
The Bedlam Brothers aren't playing at Drena's but, their friends Mojo Daddy and The Steepwater Band are playing Saturday night. Music in NWI does not get any better!

Hey there Dave! Isn't that the way it always is at these gatherings - just fly by having fun with no real quality time to spend with each other. It was a GREAT surprise to see you there and to hear you play at the Douglas and Grants! They did a great job at GABBA this year and to think I almost didn't go!!! So glad I did :) You have a great weekend and keep in touch - I'll do the same:)
