Many of you have requested my services after discovering that I have edited my own novel, as well as the work of many other self-published authors.
I am currently offering my services to review and/or edit your work! I specialize in editing work that falls in the following categories: African-American, Urban, Fiction, Erotica, and Romance. I pride myself in maintaining your stylistic poetic license while making sure that your book is polished and bookstore ready! My prices are the lowest that you will find anywhere for the quality of work I do. Not only will you get the benefit of an editor who tends to capture mistakes in professionally published and previously edited books (remembering the page numbers of those mistakes weeks later), but when you purchase an editing service, I will also add my review service for free!
Reviews will be posted on at least three websites of your choice, and you will also get a private email with constructive criticism and critique that is not in the public review!
Editing prices are as follows:

Up to 25 000 words - $100 (Turnaround less than 4 weeks)
Up to 50 000 words - $150 (Turnaround less than 6 weeks)
Up to 75 000 words - $175 (Turnaround less than 8 weeks)
75,000 words or more - $200 (Turnaround less than 10 weeks)
If you would like to purchase the quality review alone, to be posted on three websites of your choice, the price will be a flat $50.00. This does NOT in any way GUARANTEE that your review will be a good one. I will provide an honest commentary of your story. You will still receive a very detailed private email with private author feedback, which is essentially what you are paying the fee for. A copy of your book will need to be sent to me along with your payment.

Sex, Lies, Men & Friends by Leila Jefferson is a novel that will capture your attention from the very beginning. Peaches, Shamiya, and Ayisha are characters that could have stepped right out of my own life, and I am sure that anyone who reads this book will feel the same way. In Peaches, you have the welfare check receiving mother of numerous children by different fathers, ready to throw down to defend her friends at the drop of a hat. Shamiya is a quiet storm brewing, a victim of spousal abuse, who just wants to raise her son in a stable home. Sexual siren Ayisha makes no excuses for her behavior, but manages to carry herself with an air of pride while dancing at the local strip club.
The authors portrayal of her characters was so sincere, ringing with honesty and authenticity. I cared about what happened to these young women, and that concern carried me through this adventure in two days. Although I have never stepped foot in Oakland, California, Leila Jefferson made me feel as if I had grown up there my whole life. This book will make you ponder the affect that the decisions that we can make in just one night can have for the rest of our lives.
