Brian S. “Bert” Phillips 1959 - 2008 Brian Scott "Bert" Phillips, 48, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at his residence. He was born in Racine on June 13, 1959, to Arthur and Mathilda (nee: Kellner) Phillips. Bert attended William Horlick High School and was a well-known vocalist, performing with bands in Kenosha and Racine. Bert was loved and will be dearly missed by area musicians, band mates and his fans too many to mention. Bert is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Mark (Debbie) Phillips, nephews, Mark A. Phillips, Michael Phillips, Charles Phillips and Gary Phillips. He is further survived by aunts and uncles, William and Sandy Kellner, Fred and Margi Kellner; cousins, Terry Maier, Chuck and David Kellner, Judy Hopkins, along with many other relatives. Dear friends, Carol Hansen, George (Sandra) Otto, Scotty (Crystal) Hoffman, Ruben (Val) Saldivar, Jake (Sara) Berns, Christine Pavlovich, Jim Thomas and Dana Louie, Aaron Brooks, Randy Rude, Margaret Piccolo, Jeff Tauri, J. Walter, The Den and staff and last but not least, the Keno Core. Bert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William A. Phillips on Oct. 4, 2005. A memorial visitation will be held at the Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1, 2008, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. R.I.P. King of Punk
