B.B. and the Stingers was an innovative, versatile blues rock trio from New Jersey, showcasing the dazzling style and technique of guitarist/composer/vocalist Bernie Brausewetter. Bernie led the band from its founding in 1990 until his tragic and untimely death in April 2007 at the age of 52.

The 15-track collection, The Best of B.B. and the Stingers, includes the most essential tracks from the band's three CDs and features four previously unheard original tracks by the longest-lived Stingers lineup (Brausewetter, bassist Bill Cherensky, and drummer Bob Butterfield): "The Road Goes On Forever," "Nothing Else Matters," "The Art Of Love," and "No Time To Burn." I don't exactly know what to say about Bernie's passing. His awesome guitar playing was second only to his humble heart. I used to drop in on him, his mom would roust him out of bed and he'd play that guitar. We'd talk and head out to Fat Boys for one of them greasy burgers. Although 'we didn't know anybody', we had the best of times. And the best quasi I ever saw... haha. This world will miss you, Bernie.... your talent, sure... but your heart, for extra sure. You will be missed and I'm sure 'you figured it out'... Love ya man and God be with you...
HEY ALL, I JUST POSTED A SONG I WROTE FOR MY GUITAR TEACHER BERNIE BRAUSEWETTER WHO JUST RECENTLY PASSED AWAY IN APRIL. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY,STUDENTS,FRIENDS,AND CO MUSICIANS. BERNIE YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. I WISH YOU COULD HEAR THIS BUT MAYBE YOU CAN. THIS IS WHAT YOUR TALENT YOUR DEVOTION AND YOUR WISDOM HAS DONE FOR ME.
