Hi...my name's Terri. I'm 53 yrs old. I’ve been married and divorced twice. I’m a mother of 3: Ray, Teresa, and Brian, respectively. Ray is 35 and divorced, but engaged to a wonderful lady. He has two daughters, Samantha and Meghan. Teresa is 30 and separated, and is a mother of four: Daria, Kris, Daisha and James. Brian is 24 and single, never married and has no children. You can see pics of all these wonderful kids and grandkids in my photo section.

I used to work for a non-profit adult literacy agency in Philadelphia where I develop and manage statistical databases, but I got let go so I'm unemployed at the moment. I also sometimes teach GED classes and computer workshops. I also develop professional development materials and facilitate workshops for teachers and adult lit staff.

I smoke (which aside from my foul mouth is my only vice), but I gave up drinking except for an occasional shot here and there (my preference is Tequila Rose!). No particular reason for quitting other than I got tired of drinking. Now if I could get tired of smoking, I'd save a lot of money.

Who I'd like to meet:

.. I'm always on the lookout for new friends who have interests in common with me. I'm pretty diverse so it's not too difficult finding friends. I'm a Libra on the Virgo cusp and we're pretty friendly, not to mention we're kind of fun too.

I really like to laugh, but more than that I love to make other's laugh. I'm not great at remembering jokes, but I'm known as the Queen of One-Liners. I can cuss worse than a truck driver and there's not too much that will shock me. I used to shoot shuffle bowl at my neighborhood tappy, but that got boring so I took a break.

I like to chat but not on yahoo or aim...too much typing for my liking. It takes a lot to bother me, but once you do, watch out...I'm hell on wheels! I'm straightforward and say what's on my mind...I don't pull punches. But I also try to be as fair as possible with everyone I interact with. I don't like liars, cheaters, and insincere people and I won't be friends with them...I'm not that needy.

I am NOT looking for romantic entanglements of any kind!!! I am here to make new friends and I joined mainly because many of my friends and family have pages on MySpace. I am not looking to remarry; I definitely don't want more children, and couldn't have them even if I did want to. I'm a Grandmother now and I like it just like that! So if your main interest is to meet the woman of your dreams, that's not me, so don't bother contacting me. However, if you just want to chat (thru email) and meet new people, I'm your gal!!

I like computers, I use them for both work and play; reading, to escape; music, to feel; movies, to entertain; dancing, to express; tarot reading and astrology, to help others; animals, because I am a nurturer; on line shopping, because I hate malls and large crowds of people I don’t know; natural artistic ability, because I admire talent; singing (no, I can't sing), because it’s fun; small doodad collections, to give family ideas for gifts; comedy, because laughing relieves stress; paranormal, because I’ve experienced it; trivia, because I know nothing but useless information; gambling, because I love to prove I’m not lucky; dining out, because I hate to cook; marine life, because it’s serene; writing, because I’m good at it; helping others, because I can; I guess I should throw men in here somewhere…um...men, because I’m drawn to the opposite sex--but I'm not interested in romantic relationships; friends, because otherwise I’d be lonely; shuffle bowl, because I have no talent for any other competitive games; learning things to make my life easier, because I do not like to reinvent the wheel.

I've danced my way through several decades...60's, 70's, 80's...ok, a lot of decades! Let's start with the big bands. Benny Goodman, Glen Miller, The Andrew Sisters, Cab Calloway. What's not to like? Then the Oldies. All the Motown sounds along with Elvis, Engelbert, Wilson Pickett, Wayne Newton, Patsy Cline, Hermans Hermits. Moving right along there was The Beatles, The Monkees, The Stones, The Doors, Mott the Hoople, Michael and Janice Jackson, Billy Joel, Billy Idol, Elton, Prince, Sly, Huey Lewis...Salt N Peppa, Tone Loc, Sir Mix Alot, Young MC...3 Doors Down, Alannis, Linkin Park, Missy Elliot, Pink. There are thousands more.

I'm a Beatles fanatic; Eminem makes me laugh cause he's crazy; I mean who can sit still when Shake that Ass and Smack That are playing? That's dancing music no matter what the words say. I just love music. My only exceptions are opera, what the hell is that all about? And I’m semi appreciative of Country music & some I like, most I don’t. I'll make exceptions for Patsy, Willy, Kenny and Hank.

And then there's also funny music, like Gitarzan by Ray Stevens and You Can't Roller Skate in a Buffalo Heard by Roger Miller. Did you ever listen to Spike Jones? Heehee...funny as shit.

  • Movies

..Comedies, comedies, comedies! I love to laugh. I love the old comics like Abbot and Costello, their Who's on First and A & C Meet Frankenstein are priceless! Anything with Red Skelton and Danny Kaye will work for me. Cary Grant was an exceptional comic; Father Goose and Bachelor and the Bobbie Soxer are two of my favorite movies.

I also enjoy musicals. Anything with Fred Astair and Gene Kelley; but I also love the classics like Dirty Dancing and the newer movies highlighting ballroom dancing (latin dances). Other older movies I enjoy are Murphy's Romance; You've Got Mail; French Kiss; The Warriors; And of course, I can't forget my John Wayne westerns! I enjoy many of today's movies, too. But I don't really have a favorite that I'd want to repeatedly watch as yet.

  • Television

Oh boy, now here’s a list for ya...Saving Grace; The Closer; Dexter; Entourage; Shark; Dancing with the Stars; Boston Legal; Jericho; Men in Trees; Ghost Hunters; Gilmore Girls; Huff; House; Smallville; CSI; Extreme Home Makeover; Brothers and Sisters; Crossing Jordan; NCSI; Criminal Minds; Supernatural; Dead Like Me; Reaper...you get the idea. My only problem is that many of these shows are on at the same time and I have to choose one. That’s a hard thing for a Libra…lol.
  • Books

..A few of my favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, Sue Grafton, Janet Evanovich (most favorite!), Kay Hooper, Harlan Coben, Lisa Gardner, Lee Childs, Dennis Lehane, and Stuart Woods. I like suspense and mystery with comedy and romance thrown in. I am always reading and carry a book in my purse so I don t get bored when out and about.

  • Heroes

My mother, may she R.I.P., had always been a source of strength and inspiration for me. I admired her wisdom, insight, and sense of justice. She was a very smart woman and I miss her dearly!

John Wayne always signified to me (at least his character image on screen) the persona of a real man. I consider him one of my heroes and no man I’ve ever met has lived up to my image of him. Too bad for me!

.. I've placed this video down here because of the content. However, I include it in my space because it reflects the usage of my very favorite word. If you do not like foul language, do not, I repeat, ..DO NOT.. watch it!
