Byron's Blurbs |
About me:
My day job: repairing stereos. I own a business called "Obsolete Stereo." I repair 8-tracks, Victrolas, Reel-to-reels, phonographs... all the kinds of stuff young folks see on "That 70s Show." I earned a BS in Electronic Engineering Techology from University of Houston in 1980. At that time audio was a hot field to be in! Now times have changed, and I am the dinosaur who continues to repair analog audio products. My breed is almost extict, but some of the high-schoolers I know have rediscovered REAL music... maybe there's a future after all. |
My night job: I am the author of the Christian fiction thriller VIOLENT NIGHT . My second book, HAUNTED CAMPS: The Campfire Stories of Scoutmaster B.C. Justice comes out in September, 2007. I am a true self-publisher and have my own company, Lone Tree Publishing .
My weekend job: I am the Scoutmaster of Houston's infamous Troop 1197. Have been since 1980. Visit us at HoustonScouts.ORG. High adventure is our specialty. We do trips lasting up to 3 weeks and 7,000 miles--by van, canoe, train, and on foot. We may still hold the council record of 58 nights camping in tents in a single year.

Who I'd like to meet:
Authors and readers of fiction, particularly Christian apocalypse thrillers and ghost stories, folks who are into Scouting, and people who like to talk about audio equipment.
