Hi, Beth! How are you? I'm doing okay. Having some neighbor problems, but they should go away soon, with God's help. lol I do hope all is well with you. I'm anxious to read more of your books. I love Native American romances and love the fact that you write them. haha Hope your Sunday goes well. It's heating up here again in Kansas, but that's okay. I believe most of it has passed, and cooler Fall temperatures are just along the horizon. Have a great week! Thanks for writing. Hugs and blessings!

About me:
~Photo by Nikki Fox at The Daily News Record~Article on my website: www.bethtrissel.com

~Greetings. I'm Beth Trissel, author of adventurous Colonial American and Native American Historical Romance, and lately historicals set in the British Isles. Light Paranormal Romance with Mystery, Suspense, the occasional Ghost and Time Travel back to Another Age. I'm published with The Wild Rose Press in both their Historical and Faery Rose lines. Married to my high school sweetheart, I live on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley with dogs we fondly refer to as The Wolf Pack. :) The beauty of the valley is an inspiration, as are my roots which go well back into Virginia & early American history and further back to the British Isles~
My fascination with the colonial frontier and the Shawnee Indians is an early and abiding one. My English, Scot-Irish ancestors had interactions with this tribe, including family members taken captive. Intrigued with all things Celtic, much of my writing features the Scot-Irish who settled the valley and spread into the mountains and the Carolinas. ~ This absorption with early America also extends to the high drama of the Revolution and ancestors who fought and loved on both sides of that sweeping conflict.
~Moreover, I am ever intrigued by ghost stories, and Virginia has more tales than any other state. I find myself asking if the folk who’ve gone before us are truly gone, or do some still have unfinished business in this realm? And what of the young lovers whose time was tragically cut short, do they somehow find a way? Love conquers all, so I answer ‘yes.’

General
I'm fascinated with history and love old homes and historic sites, all that ties us to the richness of the past. ~ I'm intrigued with herbal lore and often use it in my writing. Herbs have changed little over the centuries. When I hold an aromatic sprig of rosemary in my hand, I'm touching the same plant beloved by the ancients. Some heirloom roses go back to the glory days of Rome. ~ Herbs play an important role in my novels.
My three 2009 novels placed in the top ten Publisher's Weekly Reader's Choice Best Books of 2009~My books are available in both print and digital download from THE WILD ROSE PRESS: http://www.thewildrosepress.com/
~Local stores can order my books, so can libraries if you ask. Many other online stores carry my novels in print and digital download, Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Sony, Fictionwise, and many more~
Music
Light paranormal romance, SOMEWHERE MY LOVE, is a murder mystery/ghost story with flashbacks to early nineteenth century Virginia~
Movies
My latest release, the next in my 'SOMEWHERE' series, SOMEWHERE MY LASS, is a suspenseful Scottish time travel~available in digital download at The Wild Rose Press and Amazon Kindle! I'm also fascinated with old castles, the Clans, and the Highlands. In writing this book I reached back into my early Scottish roots. ~
Colonial Native American historical romance novel, RED BIRD'S SONG, is out in print at The Wild Rose Press and Amazon, more booksellers to follow, the ebook comes out 9-10-2010. Inspired by events that happened to my forebears, RED BIRD'S SONG is the story of my heart. More about both of these new releases and my other work on my website at: http://www.bethtrissel.com/

Television
1780 South Carolina, spies and intrigue, a vindictive ghost, the battle of King’s Mountain, Patriots and Tories, pounding adventure, pulsing romance…ENEMY OF THE KING~
My research into the Southern face of the American Revolution was partly inspired by my great, great, great grandfather, Sam Houston, uncle of the famous Sam, who kept a journal of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, North Carolina, 1781, used by historians today. Historical romance novel ENEMY OF THE KING grew out of my passionate interest in colonial American. The Battle of King’s Mountain, a mega conflict that altered the course of the war in favor of the Patriots, plays a prominent role in the story~
~Mt. Vernon above~Growing up visiting our family homeplace and other old Virginia and Carolina plantation homes left deep impressions on me. ~Books
A bearwalking Shawnee warrior, secrets from the past, a rugged frontiersman, gifted heroine, magical moonstone, love at first sight…DAUGHTER OF THE WIND~
A light paranormal romance with strong American historical roots, DAUGHTER OF THE WIND is set among the clannish Scots-Irish in the mist-shrouded Alleghenies, a tale of the clash between peoples and young lovers caught in the middle. Influenced by my regard for Eastern Woodland Indians and some of their beliefs, I interwove mystical, Native American elements with 'Daughter.' ~
The French and Indian War, a Shawnee warrior, an English lady, blood vengeance, deadly pursuit, primal, powerful, passionate...THROUGH THE FIRE~An adventure romance with a THE LAST OF THE MOHICAN'S flavor and a mystical weave. Some of the most unusual aspects of this story are based on individuals who really lived. A passionate love story set during the French and Indian War, this historical romance novel finaled in the 2008 Golden Heart® and won the 2008 Linda Howard Award of Excellence in Writing~
