Been Pickin' Bluegrass since 1975! The Only Bluegrass Band required to have a warning label!
WARNING: (Please read before listening to BD Boy$):
In 1988, six (6) copies of a Bottom Dollar Boy$ Cassette were introduced into the Soviet Union by persons (who will remain unknown) participating in a "Sister City" program between Tallahassee, Florida and Krasnodar, Russia, USSR. Note that barely three (3) years after the BD Boys were heard in the USSR, it became known as the FORMER USSR.
WARNING: Bottom Dollar Boy$ can be hazardous to your country! (Especially totalitatian regimes)
Bottom Dollar Boy$ have performed their own style of
Bluegrass and Ol' Country for over 30 years. While paying great respect to the "Founding Fathers" (the Great Monroe, Stanley's, Flatt &
Scruggs, Jim & Jesse, Reno & Smiley, etc) they are not shy 'bout exploring
original and unique aspects of this great American art form!
The band gets its name from their normal economic condition.
Hey guys, Thanks for being Myspace friends. It's one thing to have nominal friends on your page, but quite another when they actually talk to you!! Great music! Best wishes from Down Under. David aka Monty, from Fat Chance and the Bluegrass Playboys.
G'day Boys! Pleased to hear from you! Yep, we know a few of the folk you mentioned. Laurie Grundy has just formed a combo called the Over The Hill Billies. Never met Justin Price Rees but have an old demo cassette(!) he made years ago. Mike Kear always runs the Sunday morning gospel session at Harrietville Bluegrass Convention, so have met him several times! Best wishes from Down Under. David aka Monty.
