Bryan Dean, a.k.a. B.Dean, a.k.a. Dark Kent. No matter the moniker, one thing is certain, I'm a certified low end fanatic. Years ago, as a bored to tears finance student at Penn State, I rediscovered my love playing music - trading in my high school instrument, the bass clarinet, for the bass guitar. Over the years I've played many a gig with many a character. From the punk rockers to the jazz cats, I've learned something from them all. My bands have been fortunate enough to share the stage with a variety of internationally known acts such as De La Soul, Patti LaBelle, Buckethead, Camp Freddy,Mushroomhead, Prong, Living Colour, Smashing Pumpkins, The Bravery and Zigaboo Modeliste. Stateside, I've played coast to coast, from The Knitting Factory to The Whisky A Go Go .CMJ....SXSW...adventures for sure. I've been fortunate enough to lay it down across the pond a few times as well.
I've been riding this crazy train for a while now, but there's nothing else I'd rather be doing. So if you're down, get in touch with me for a gig, recording or whatever and I'm sure we can make something beautiful happen.
COOL deal and yes Finally! Make sure you set one aside for me....and I still have some shirts left if you want them. You know me.....just bumpin along trying to get it all done.....
Oh Yeah! Mom said that a couple of the off duty CHP stopped and chatted with her while you guys were playing and told her that they really liked you guys!! That's sayin' somethin' cause the cops up there don't like anybody!!! LOL!!!
B. Dean (right, red shirt and cowboy hat....?? what????, yep) giving a whole new meaning to the phrase "If The House Isa Rockin', Don't Bother Knockin'"!!! High Sierra Music Festival, Quincy
A man goes to a pacific island for vacation. As the boat nears, he notices the constant sound of drumming. As he gets off the boat, he asks a native how long the drumming will go on. The native casts about nervously and says "very bad when drumming stops." Later that day, the drumming is still going and it is really starting to get to him. So, he asks another native when the drumming will stop. The native looks as if he's just been spooked. "Very bad when drumming stops!" he says, and hurries off. After a couple of days with little sleep, the man had had enough. He grabbed the first native he saw, slammed him up against a tree, and shouted, "What happens when the drumming stops?!"
