Music
As a musician I feel it's important to listen to all types of music. But lately I've been listening to a lot of film music-Ennio Morricone, Serge Gainesbourg-There's a guy I would have liked to have met!(Check out the YouTube video of Bonnie and Clyde,it's the absolute BOMB!) Also Brian Jonestown Massacre, and everything from The Collins Kids(old rockabilly that never lets up)to the Germs and The Avengers to Ice Cube,N.W.A. and RJD2!
Movies
AND CHECK OUT THE ROCK CITY ANGELS CHANNEL AT http://www.youtube.com/therockcityangels BECOME A FRIEND OR SUBSCRIBE, new stuff all the time!!!!
Television
The original Wild Wild West, Get Smart, The Prisoner, Mission Impossible, Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks,(how DID that series ever get made?) Nowhere Man,(well worth the search on the dvd release)Lost, and Dateline: Predator,(though that host guy IS getting tired). I still find the majority of t.v. shows to be the ultimate ticket to the wasteland of unoriginal stupidity it's always been. Let's face it, the audience demands it's vapid shitstains or they might do something drastic, like notice whats going on around them!
Books
I love books about the genre films of the world, especially referring to the Japanese samarai and yakuza film, Asian horror, Italian giallo, horror films and the crime dramas of the '70's, these books fill us in on films the American studios would have never had the balls to produce. Hard boiled crime fiction turns me on no end, from Raymond Chandler, James Ellroy and big Jim Thompson to true crime from the likes of John Gillmore, Legs McNeal and other researchers into L.A. History. Of course The Beats and Charles Bukowski will always be a huge inspiration.

I'm a writer of crazy, fucked up short stories, screenplays, film and music reviews and a singer songwriter/musician, who sure does wish he could type faster. I am the lead singer of a swamp punk, soul blues band called the ROCK CITY ANGELS that still enjoys a level of cult success and have just released our third c.d.,"USE ONCE AND DESTROY", the follow up to our infamous release on Geffen Records, "YOUNG MAN'S BLUES", now released on Gott Discs. I'm also trying to find an indie label to distribute. "USE ONCE AND DESTROY" is too fucking good to let die! I'm hoping that this space can help me find some help with that and bring me a little closer to our fans, old and new,and (if i'm lucky) an old friend or two. Dig?
UPDATE ----The new Rock City Angels disc is finished and ready to ship!!! It will soon be available on i-tunes and Amazon for download, but in the meantime you can get the best RCA project ever laid down in the studio right here in a signed and numbered disc format. All I need is your e-mail address and you will recieve an envoice from PayPal, just follow the instructions, and I'll personally send the disc out. This is no joke, you'll get the most ripping tunes the Angels have ever dished out in a project I've put my heart and soul into. Get it now, before it hits the stores!

Who I'd like to meet: I'm lucky enough to have been able to meet, and even work with, just about every person I've ever looked up to. Johnny Thunders, Iggy Pop, Ron Wood, Joan Jett, Joe Walsh, Johnny Depp,John Lee Hooker, etc, etc.... I guess the people I wish I could have met are mostly dead-Sid Vicious, Marc Bolan,Eddie Cochran,Darby Crash(just missed him),John Lennon,Salvador Dali,Rainer Fassbinder,Fellini and Shintaro Katsu,(Zatoichi)to name a few...
Wow! Wish I could have been there indeed! I'll have to check the videos out. I haven't seen Oldboy but some of these Asian independant movies are quite good as well. The French film I was talking about is called "I Stand Alone" for the English version, found some info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Stand_Alone_(film)
Hey Bobby! I enjoyed reading "unanswered questions" and its modern days tragedy atmosphere... When such things happen, people rarely question society and all the pressure that often go with it, it's easier to put the blame on rock bands (Colombine...) There's a French movie called "Seul Contre Tous", it's very disturbing, showing a man losing his mind in our "modern world", you'd probably enjoy it... Good luck with the shows in Florida!
Hey Man .... Check out your Earthlink email account. there's a little something extra in your envelope this weekend ... a Rock City Angels - live recording from Chicago Oct. 17, 1988
