Sounds Like
Rough beauty with faint echoes of insanity. Our songs are like a pool: there's a shallow end and deep end. But please note: there's no "p" in Be4 Now, and we'd like to keep it that way.
Like a child without a role model, Be4 Now took its first musical steps at a time when mainstream radio was a pale and featureless landscape, and formerly-cutting-edge TV was awash with reality programming and shows about mansions.
Founded by bass player/lyricist, Ben, Be4 Now became a fully-formed entity in March, 2007, when it welcomed Lyra on board as its lead singer. Along with Crory on guitar and then-drummer, EZ, the group set about working out its set of original songs and sketching a route to a bright future in the music business. Late in 07, the band's drum throne went vacant, and the next months were burned up with auditions. The search ended successfully when Jags threw in his lot with Be4 Now in February, 2008.
Complete again, the quartet was back on track and on stage. With a unique sound woven together by four unique musicians, Be4 Now's original rock songs promised a breath of fresh air with an eye on both personal and universal subject matter, all with an undercurrent of social movement. An old school mentality - great songs, great records, memorable live performances - with a new slant - ideas that are fresh with a voice that is welcomingly unconventional.
All through 2008, the foursome kicked assumptions and took fans higher throughout Vermont, at venues like Higher Ground, Nectar's, Radio Bean, The Monkey Bar, and beyond.
Nick Bowers, Sound Recordings isn’t just a live sound
recording studio. Located in a 200 year
old 3 bedroom bed and breakfast style farmhouse on 40 acres in Wolcott,
Vermont, the project studio of NBSR offers great rates, a relaxed atmosphere,
and the seclusion needed to lay down those most righteous of tracks. And just like the mobile unit, there is never
an initial mixing charge at Nick Bowers, Sound Recordings.
Hello Vermont!...Just letting you know I'll be playing 3 dates in your lovely state with my band this weekend. Hope you can make it.
love, Miss Tess
