About me: I am working on self-improvement and self acceptance! It is time to realize MY PASSIONS and DREAMS and make them REAL!! NOBODY ELSE CAN DO IT FOR ME!! I AM MAKING MY HEALTH AND MY DREAMS MY PRIORITIES INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR EVERYTHING TO BE PERFECT FIRST!! LIFE IS TOO SHORT!! I AM A SURVIVOR (of many types of abuse) - I WILL NO LONGER TOLERATE BEING A VICTIM!! I have lost 80 Lbs since October 2006 (a total of 130 Lbs lost since my heaviest weight)! I have kept it off for over a year now, something I have never accomplished before!! I have learned to find alternative ways to DE-STRESS rather than eating "comfort food"!! This has not been easy, but definitely worthwhile! I am getting healthy and fit while having FUN along the way!
I've become mildly obsessed with motorcycles and everything to do with them - especially HARLEY DAVIDSON!! I AM IN LOVE WITH CHROME AND LEATHER!! I have taken the motorcycle safety class and gotten my license (M-1 endorsement). I can't wait to buy a Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe and take off for the open road!!
I have chosen P90X EXTREME HOME FITNESS as my 90 day workout program. (Starting 8-31-09...WISH ME LUCK!!) I HOPE TO GET MY ASS IN SHAPE BEFORE IT GETS KICKED!!! LOL I will also lift weights to burn off some of my excess energy, build up my strength and get more muscle definition.
I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT LIFE AND LIVING IT!! I WILL NOT SETTLE ANY LONGER FOR LESS THAN WHAT I NEED EVEN IF IT MEANS I MAY BE ALONE! COMPROMISE IS FINE, BUT TOTALLY GIVING IN IS NOT OKAY. I hope to meet friends (online & in person) with similar interests and a good sense of humor! I plan to spend time doing things that bring back wonderful memories of days gone by and joy to my soul, such as camping, fishing, hiking, boating, skiing and shooting; as well as some of my favorites like photography, crafts, lots of music and dancing! Maybe even some shooting pool!!! I can read a compass, chop firewood, start a fire, bait my hook, clean my own fish and LOVE being outside beneath the moon and stars...especially in the mountains! Like to think of myself as self-actualized (Maslow). I am a Mountain Girl at heart, raised in the BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAINS at Lake Tahoe!
I love my son Sheldon (age 37), who is a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force-currently stationed in TURKEY and my daughter Chandra (age 35) who lives in Clovis, and my dog - Noel! I am hoping he gets stationed stateside as I have not seen him since 2001...A VERY LONG TIME!!
