A new and exciting free festival, now in its eighth year, BEACHED attracts over 25,000 people to the idyllic surroundings of Scarboroughs South Bay Beach to enjoy a wide range of musical styles over four days. BEACHED has hosted bands such as The Libertines, Kaiser Chiefs, The Fratellis, The Bluetones, Steve Harley, Thunder, Electric Eel Shock, The Quireboys, One Night Only and The Hoosiers to name but a few. Over the years Beached has firmly established itself on the festival circuit as a outlet for quality live music both new and old!.
This year sees the introduction of fencing around the festival area, this means that it is now prohibited to bring in personal alcohol to the festival. But don't worry we have plenty of bars in the BEACHED Village where you can buy reasonably priced alcohol.

Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.
Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience. Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.

Hi. Thank you to everyone involved in the excellent Beached Festival. It is the first time I have ever been. What a fabulous venue. The truck stage for unsigned bands was an excellent idea and I am sure they appreciated the opportunity to showcase their talents. The highlight on Saturday for me was the headlining act,Alistair Griffin and his band on the truck stage. They were fantastic.Thank you once again for a well organised , atmospheric event and for keeping music live. All the best Denise.

Ok, I guess some people already know, but for the rest of you:
Over the last week and this week, me and a few other lads have been filming for what is going to be the Official Beached Festival Documentary. We have covered everything to do with the festival so far including the Beached Academy (day-by-day) and day-by-day updates on the construction of the stage, backstage..ect..
We are going to film the whole festival as well as interview some bands, and some festival go'ers as well! We not trying to pretend were professionals or anything, we just want to make something cool that everyone can look back on Smiley We will also be recording EVERY main stage performance with high quality audio recordings as well, so on the final film you will be able to watch the set of the band of your choice which we think is pretty cool!
Obviously the final thing won't be avaliable until several weeks after the festival finnishes as it will take aggeess to edit the bazillions of gigabytes of film we have but we will try our best to get it out ASAP.
For now however, you can view Diary Updates which we are posting to Youtube and Facebook - which give you a low quality taster of whats going on. The footage is pretty raw and hardly edited cos were all soo busy - just a bit of fun really but have a watch of a few if your bored!
