Howdy! Sam Dlugach here. I'm currently host the open mic nights at Romancing The Bean in Burbank. Bring yer geetar! Me: I'm originally from Memphis, but now live in Los Angeles. Music has always been a huge part of my life. As a kid, I rode my bike on Sunday mornings to the black Baptist church up the street and listened to the rocking gospel music pouring out of the open windows. Later, I mixed live music for blues legends at the historic Old Daisy Theatre on Beale Street - the birthplace of the blues.
At one time, I was a DJ on the legendary WLYX-FM in Memphis. In school I sang and played guitar in rock bands, but now play more acoustic music. I've recently started performing my own material at open mics around L.A.
By day, I work in a dark windowless room full of expensive video gear called a telecine bay. Which gives me my cheery personality. And my studio tan. If you've made music videos, commercials, or episodic television in Los Angeles, you've probably worked with me.
If you frequent the local acoustic music scene, you might've seen me around. My usual haunts are Largo, Hotel Cafe, Genghis Cohen, Troubadour, and McCabe's Guitar Shop. My radio is usually tuned to KCRW-FM, XM15, or XM50.
You might also run into me at LACMA, MOCA, or the Getty on a Sunday afternoon.
A big Tennessee howdy to my new friends at Rocky Mountain Song School, Folk Alliance, Kulak's Woodshed, and at the Khandakapala Buddhist Center in Los Angeles...

Hey now... How goes it? In the mood for some President-Bashing? How 'bout some good old fashioned punk rock ethos? No?! Then you'd better move along & spare us both the impending awkward moment. If, on the other hand, you agree that George Bush is a wiener with a capital "W", you most definitely will want to swing by our page for a FREE download of "Assassination". Happy listening, friend!
I am so excited to see people are listening to our song on romancing the bean. Our ep is coming soon .....Then we will be looking for a label wish us luck =)
