Beandawg Artworks is a tie-dye & screen printing company consisting of James Herndon who is the dye artist, graphic designer, screen printer & transportation manager & Jeanelle Myers who does everything else! James’ mastery of color can be attributed to a background in painting. He realized his love of painting in high school and went on to receive a B.A. degree in painting from the Atlanta College of Art. He continues to be passionate about painting. He first dabbled in tie-dyeing while touring with the Grateful Dead after college.
We launched our screen printing business in the winter of 2002. Not long after, we began tie-dyeing some of our screen printed tees & the tie-dye side of the business quickly took off. We make our tie-dyes in our basement, and we use solar power in our home.
We sell our tie-dyes at www.beandawgartworks.com, at numerous craft & music festivals throughout the year, and we opened a retail store in November 2006 in Rocky Mt., Virginia near where we live. It is at 305 Franklin St. next to Edible Vibe restaurant. Come by & see us if you're ever in the neighborhood.
New CD:RIPE - THE DIXIE BEE-LINERS' highly anticipated sophomore release, produced by Bil VornDick (Bob Dylan, Alison Krauss, Ralph Stanley) for Pinecastle Records, featuring the #1 single "Down on The Crooked Road."
