Since 2005 Bear Country has been slowly and not-so-steadily creating music. In 2006 they released their first collection of songs entitled “Our Roots Need Rain”. Their second album “Lives, Lost Brides, and the Coolie Trade” was scrapped shortly after completion. In July 2009 they plan to release “Frozen Lake” featuring a few songs that would have been on “Coolie Trade”, a few lo-fi demos, and some new stuff. “Frozen Lake” shows a glimpse what Bear Country have been trying to reveal for the past few years, pretty harmonies, intimate lyrics, and the occasional feedback freak-out.
