Gary Nickell: Lead Vocals/Drums/Perccusion/Some Bass/Acoustic Guitar and more.
Although a very short lived band headed up by Dole Shaffer & Gary Nickell, "beards ghetto" was able to produce enough music for at least 3 CD's. The studio recordings were done by Dole & Gary as they were composed between 1989 and 1992. Many times spending many hours in the studio composing/recording/producing 3 or 4 songs a weekend. This band only performed a few times with various members but gained a lot of attention. "This is some of the greatest classic rock I've heard in a long time" (Don Thrasher: Dayton Daily News). "Gary and I would set down with an acoustic guitar, come up with a basic arrangement, fight over the next line and whala, we had a song, my favorite person to compose with" (Dole Shaffer)
All songs were composed by Dole & Gary except for "Carry On' which of course belongs to Stephen Stills but beards version takes it to a whole new level.
