Drummer / vocalist Clint Bear, guitarist Chris Hunter and guitarist / bassist / vocalist Maurice Spencer made their rounds through the Northern California music scene before finally joining forces in the summer of 2001. They are very fortunate to have aquired a new member in the band. Multi-intrumentalist Kirt Lind hails from Bellingham WA and has added fresh new energy to the live shows. The band's sound is experimental and conversely dark and poppy, reminiscent of groups like Pavement, The Cure, Broken Social Scene and The Flaming Lips. Bear Hunter has also shared the stage with numerous bands such as: Deerhoof, Kinski, Comets on Fire, Pedro the Lion, Trans Am, John Vanderslice, Sam Prekop & Archer Pruitt (Sea and Cake), Minus the Bear, Heavenly States, New Trust, The Americas, Old Time Relijun, Slow Car Crash, and The Proles
