We're influenced by the bands we've spoken to and promoted for. In the past we've promoted shows for:
Second Chance, The Summits, Mega Games Two (x2), Ridley Barbet (x3), Make It Better Later, Comply or Die, Acid Drop, Fat Phace (x2), Apologies I Have None, Greg Genre, Fox n North, Bryn Roberts, Winona Forever, Exoterik, Martin Wainwright, The Lookout and Taking Out Tomorrow.
Our next gig is on 18th May @ The Speakeasy in York, and features our good friends Second Chance, Fat Phace & Ridley Barbet, as well as Saving Time and More Than Normal. Come on down!
Sounds Like
Beartrap Pods sounds a lot like some daft northern folk having a casual chat with some really cool bands. That pretty much sums us up really. Some of the cool bands we've spoken to include:
MC Lars, Funeral For a Friend, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, You Me At Six, The Blackout, Glamour of the Kill, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Lacuna Coil, Seether, Fandangle, The Automatic, Flogging Molly, MxPx, Shinedown, Spunge and loads more!
Beartrap Pods is an independent webzine based in the north of England. It began in late 2007 as a website focussing entirely on podcasting, with no real direction, but an interview with MC Lars soon changed that! For the next year or so Beartrap Pods was a podcasting website which focussed entirely on interviews, mainly with bands, but on one occasion a comedian (the lovely Russell Howard.) In recent times Beartrap has expanded somewhat, and now features written interviews, video interviews, acoustic video podcasts and event promotion. The latest thing from Beartrap has been the new "Beartrap Magazine" which is available below these videos.
