This rare hard to find movie originally released nationwide in 1991 under the title of "Beasties" by Cinema Home Video headed by Dave Decoteau, known for Creepozoids, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama and many other B - Movies from the eighties. He also directed some of the Puppet master movies for Charles Band at Full Moon. "Bionaut" was the original title, but was changed to "Beasties" when it was released. Beasties was the working title to another film "Ghoulies". Shot on a shoe string budget on super 8 film this film strives to be something more than just another rubber monster movie. This Sci fi comedy sports a unique surprise twist at the end that highlights the movie. The master tape was destroyed in a fire a decade ago. Salvaged from one of the few remaining VHS tapes, many have since detiorated, it was transfered to DVD. with the missing first 20 minutes not seen in the original released version.
