Well i am a massive horror fan just like seeing well crafted death scenes the more gore the better.
After letting the dust settle, I thought its time to dispell a couple of untruths and give y'all the lowdown.
As you may have heard, we have indeed parted ways with our frontman. I dont wish to discuss the issues and reasons behind his departure out of respect for Sid, and we wish him all the best with his future music projects. Despite the rumours going round, we will not be performing with him one last time next month at Speak Easy and we are no longer going to do this gig.
So now the fun begins! Auditions begin next week so if you fancy your chances then please do get in touch asap. If you think you know someone perfect for the position then give us their contact details and/or pass this message on..it would be greatly appreciated as we want to spread the word as far as possible and audition as many singers as we can. We will be recording very soon but are in no rush due to us having no more gigs booked, meanin we can take our time to find the right person.
We are searching for:
-Someone who ultimately has their own style, but must have a great scream and preferably the ability to sing too.
-Someone with a great stage presence and suitable image.
-Someone who is financially stable, 100% committed, and able to rehearse at least twice weekly.
-Own transport would be preferable as would past experience in gigging bands but this isnt mandatory.
-Someone who has a sense of humour! :)
So if you think you tick the boxes then get in touch as soon as possible so that we can have a chat and get you down to our long let rehearsal room in Nottingham. For the audition process we would ask you to learn Romance Is Dead by Parkway Drive (a song easily found on the internet and one which we cover live), and at least one song of your choice on our myspace page (we will sort you out with lyrics).
Thanks for taking the time to read through - hope to hear from people very very
Need to update y'all on current TMH events so here goes!
Next week we have our 'party til you puke mini-mini tour' which kicks of on Thursday 3rd September at SEVEN in Nottingham. We are headlining with support from some sick bands and you really dont want to miss this because it will be our penultimate Notts gig of the year! If you miss this then it may well be a while before you get to see us tear it up again.
The following night we are travelling to Leicester (Thursday 4th September) to play Retribution. We will be well warmed up by this point so expect it to be a good show.
The third and final installment is at the Furnace in Swindon on the Saturday (5th September). This one is going to be killer..supporting some of the finest bands we have played with yet!
After the 'tour' we will be playing just ONE more show in 2009. This is because we are currently concentrating on writing and recording. We will be sprucing up the myspace page, promoting ourselves like crazy, and working hard to get some brand spanking new merch out for you lot to buy.
*Lastly, TMH and Total Annihilation Promotions have parted ways and we would like to make clear our appreciation for the time that they invested in working with us over the past twelve months. This means that TMH ARE NO LONGER AFFILIATED WITH TA PROMOTIONS and that all future correspondance with/from them should be treated as independant and seperate from ourselves.*
Many thanks everyone as always - look forward to seeing you soon. Dont be strangers :)
thank u so much adam!!! hope u enjoy our albums..... you could also check this out as well... http://www.youtube.com/user/retrospectband try the concerts ones......u're gonna like it esp the RISE NOW concert!...
enjoying the wet weather? no? not to worry..plenty to look forward to (especially if you missed our mint Leicester gig last week!).
a week on friday (thats the 7th of august people) TMH are playing at SPEAK EASY in NOTTINGHAM. not only is it going to be sick, but its going to be FREEEEE so dont be boring..come on down! we now have our very own rehearsal room that we can use as we please..this means we are locking ourselves away and rehearsing every chance we get and we want YOU to see the outcome of our hard work :]]
we quite literally packed the place out last time and we want to do it again. this time we are playing with our friends in INTERNAL CONFLICT and more so its gonna be a pretty big deal..yarp. the usual run of tops, shirts, cds, stickers, and badges will be available if you havent already got your fill of band goodies.
*nods*
let me know if you can/might be able to make it? :) or even if not then feel free to reply 'cos im boreded. If you want to be kept up-to-date with band news (things are going to be getting somewhat busier towards the end of the year!) but dont use myspaz much than add me to facebook (Craig Sallabank).
hows it going? recovering from download? i trust you arent as burnt as me :(
if you are REALLY metal though then you will follow up the festival with a gig this Friday at The Appleby in BURTON UPON TRENT!
yar?
YARRR?
i thought so. if you dont go then youre a gay fish.
TMH are main support for ENEMO J and its going to be immense. Also on the bill is SYMPHONY CULT (WHO PLAYED THIS YEARS DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL ON THE 2ND STAGE!) so its going to be rammed.
cant make it?
okay dont stress because we are Headlining The Salutation on Saturday 4th July. Some awesome bands, with main support from the incredible CONFINED WITHIN..I have seen the Sal packed before..and we want to see it packed again!
hello my lovely friends..hope you enjoyed the bank holiday weather :]]
doing anything on Saturday?
TMH are headlining an all-day event at SEVEN in nottingham! its totally FREE ENTRY and its going to be bare peng, alright? Theres a number of bands on (not all yet confirmed), cheap jager, plus a BBQ as it is in aid of Hannah's (one of Seven's promoters/bar staff) birthday..how can one complain about that??
Just a subtle reminder of our big gig THIS Saturday (16th) at the Rockhouse in DERBY..it has the potential to be the most important gig in the bands history to date!
Its the battle of the bands FINAL and if we impress then we will get to play Bloodstock Festival this summer with some of my favourite bands such as arch enemy and carcass..it would literally be a dream come true.
Its heavily dependant on how many people we bring to the gig though so if you are free then please make the effort to support us and make 5 boys very happy indeed. If you only come to one gig..then please make it this one.
The usual merch will be on sale, with the new addition of badges..sold in packs and on their own. Our new bass player will be there so feel free to come and meet him..you will be seeing alot of him in the future! We will also be playing our new song..as of yet only heard by those select few that travelled on our coach down to London when we headlined in the capital.
We will take to the stage at 9pm so get there well in advance. Entry fee of course not only includes the gig and winner announcements, but also the club night afterwards. If you have any questions then please dont hold back.
hope y'all okay and enjoying the weather on this lovely WEDNESDAY(!) afternoon :]]
some news for yous. TMH are through to the Bloodstock Battle Of The Bands FINAL on Saturday the 16th of May at the Rockhouse [formerly First Floor] in Derby!
we are all super excited as it would genuinely be a dream come true for me/us to play bloodstock but the judges decision is of course heavily dependant on how much of a crowd we draw so we really do need your support more than ever *puppy dog eyes*
if you only ever come to one TMH gig then please make this the one. even if rock or metal isnt your thing, please come along anyway and support me and my band because it would honestly mean so much. besides its something different and it would be fun to hang out and get messy!
as you are probably aware we are auditioning bass players at the moment (apply within) but our previous bassist Stu is filling in..it is the last time you will see him on stage with us so its going to be a pretty major night for us..would be nice to have you there
thanks and muchhh loveth.
Salli
if you havent already, join our 20,000 strong myspace fanbase here:
We're at the Bottom End in Ilkeston this Saturday if ya wanna come show us your support matey, The new EP is on sale and a live DVD of us too. Should be a bangin night!
its been a tad quiet on the TMH front recently but thats because we have been busy behind the scenes..writing, in the studio, and starting preperations for photo shoots, a myspace overhaul, and putting together plans for next years tour.
thankfully, we finally have something to show for our hardwork..the new tracks which we recorded for our press pack are on the myspace! we re-recorded the mirror, in addition to defiance which we have been gigging since the start of the year..and also a brand new one called immortal. There may be a few tweaks in the near future where the mixing of the tracks is concerned but they are otherwise the complete article!
please do check them out and give us some feedback :] twill be muchly appreciated. failing that, if you just fancy a chat or wanna comment some pics then feel free ^.^
i'll keep this shortish. this thursday we are playing the Salutation Inn [Nottingham] for the first time ever, co-headlining with Hellequin. Hellequin put on an amazingly unique UV show..if you have seen them before then you will know what I'm on about! We will also be playing a new song for y'all:
it really would be great to see you there. we are on at 8:45 so plenty of time to check us out if you are heading off to city later in the night!
then on saturday TMH travel up to Yorkshire [GO WEDNESDAY..etc] for Worthstock Fest! Its a three day festival and we are playing the main stage [out of three] around 7pm..check www. worthstock. co. uk for ticket info!
and finally..keep an eye on the myspace page as it's gonna get a superdooper overhaul sooner rather than later. you should also keep your eyes (or ears, i guess) open for new tracks as we are back in the studio in just 2 days time :] and for those interested, there are plenty of pics up from our recent festival at Belper, where Ste cracked two ribs pushing me around in a bin. yeah.
thanks for hearing me out - even if you cant make it feel free to write back and say hey *nods*
we have just about recovered from our post-gig partying on saturday at the Belper festival. well, everyone except ste anyway who is going to the doctors tomorrow due to a possible broken rib..what can i say..we like to party hard ^.^

then the following day we are playing an all-day event at speak easy in nottingham with isolysis and enemo j! we wont be there until the end as we rehearse on sunday evenings (see we work *almost* as hard as we party) but we will be there for a good while :]
both gigs are for charity so lets see you pretty people in attendance and making a difference (y)
ooh and before i go, you might be interested to know the TMH CD 'initiate' is now available on Amazon. Pretty cool!
we have been quiet the last three weeks but we have been working hard on finishing new songs, street-teaming, and preparing for entering the recording studio again.
we are certainly NOT going to be quiet this weekend though..we shall be making plenty of noise this saturday at a biker festival in belper! its gonna be ace..bands, bikes, bars, tattooing, DJ, stalls, and camping! come hang out with us if you can deal with our drinking antics XD
and some more good news..TMH are now endorsed by the music inn! ..check them out:
TMH now have a four week break from gigs to give everyone a rest before kicking off the summer with festivals, charity gigs, and headline shows!
We will be using the four weeks to continue working hard towards our album which we are currently writing. We will also use the time to prepare for another slog back in the recording studios (a different studio to the one where we recorded our 7 track EP) so keep checking the myspace for a new song..its going to rip your head off!
The boys then return to action on the 5th July where we will be performing at our first festival since the infamous 'Hydraid' last September. This will be followed up by our headline gig at Junktion 7 (where we will be joined by the mighty SPEEDTHEORY) and our gig at speak easy the very next day. Then its off to worthstock festival in Yorkshire for another weekend of drink, music, and mental...ness.

i wont blab for much longer. just want to end by thanking everyone who turned up for the battle of the bands in hucknall. we want the prize money to go towards recording a 3 track promo CD later in the year so thanks so so much for helping us get through to the semi finals which take place next month!
