Members Martin and Tommy have been long-time musical companions. One day when showing up for a rehearsal with their band Insense, the landlord at their rehearsal space told them that the painter that rented the rooms above them, had been savagely beaten to death, most probably due to heavy narcotics debts. They decided to start a new project to honor his memory; Beaten to Death was born.
Alongside Chris Bartender, black metal drummer by trade, the band was ready to start making HC inspired grindcore - despite the disturbing fact that their bassplayer Mika is a brillejesus.
