   About Beat Kitchen
Below are videos from Beat Kitchen's performance at The Great Cover-Up 2009 at the Highdive in Champaign, IL. Beat Kitchen performed (and dressed) the music of Sly and the Family Stone that night. Special guest vocalist Jacqueline that night.

Here is a quote from Buzz and www.the217.com writer Amanda Shively the following day (1/19/2009):
"Beat Kitchen: Certainly, the best way to end the evening would be with an all-out dance party via Sly and the Family Stone. From "Thank You" to "Everyday People" and "I Want To Take You Higher," everything about the set was right on. It was a good, albeit long, evening and watching the band and crowd dancing right up to the final note it seemed safe to say the party is only just beginning."

"I Want To Take You Higher" at the Great Cover Up 2009 (Highdive Club)

"Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again" at Great Cover Up 2009

FGC will be celebrating Halloween punk-style, reprising their Green Day “costume” from last weekend’s Masquerade Ball at Three Sisters Park. Catch the band on Friday 10/30 at The Uptowner in Charleston, IL and Saturday 10/31 at the City Nights Theater in Springfield IL with The Station! Fans can expect fun renditions of a few Green Day tunes, along with a healthy dose of FGC music!

In other news, FGC is very excited about the band's new Video Blog, a weekly series featuring a behind the scenes look at FGC performances and touring. Check out the YouTube playlist for the last few editions, and stay tuned for more in the coming weeks!
