here we are! the Beatlesøns! what happens when 10 musicians meet up and decide to form a band? nothing much apart from ending up once a week in a smelly and dirty rehearsing room with empty beer and wine bottles stacked up to the ceiling.
but then there is the occasional gig. the Beatlesøns had their first performance in 1993 at a christmas punk festival in bonn's "bisquithalle". (it was a great gig until a big black dog turned up on stage during the show). sure enough the dog liked the Beatlesøns' performance so much that the roadies had serious problems to get it off the stage. at that time mr. Vom was still the Beatlesøns' (first) drummer, but later on the band had to sell him to an "unknown" band called "Die Toten Hosen". after all these years and a few changes in the band, the line up is now confirmed.
the Beatlesøns' sound is difficult to describe - imagine the Ramones supporting Debby Harry or Joan Jett singing along with Johnny Cash. all in all it is a special sound and a special instrumental line up. the Beatlesøns live on stage are always an eye catcher with their seven instrumentalists, two front singers plus - to make it round and complete - the great performance and voice of the one and only Monique. don't miss the Beatlesøns when they're playing your town!!!
