Le premier album de JOLICOEUR est désormais disponible sur Internet; après 7 années passées en litige à récupérer les bandes et 2 jugements de Cour plus tard, voici l'album, mastérisé au Lab Oratoire par Alain Karon (Les Taches), et il sonne comme une tonne de briques!
Pour JOLICOEUR, il est vital que ses chansons dépeignent de petites histoires, souvent sous la forme du clin d'oeil et de l'humour, voire un sarcasme bon enfant; il aime les angles inattendus, et prendre position quand il le faut. Ça donne des chansons parfois tendres, parfois âpres ou rigolotes, mais ordinaires ça, jamais! Crucial aussi que les mélodies soient mémorables. Imaginez un croisement entre Elvis COSTELLO, Alain BASHUNG et Robert CHARLEBOIS; pas banal, hein?
