Melodic post punk band out of Wellington New Zealand. Formed in 1979, 2 tracks on the wellington 4 stars album, then 3 tracks on the Wellington Zone album taken from the bands first live performance, then three singles, Beings Rest Finally, Turn of the Century, and No Great Oaks/Art and Duty,
Performed till 1983, then moved to Australia.
New retrospective compilation on Failsafe out now and another rarities disc arriving soon after.
Back in the day, I'd have laughed if you'd told me that BRF would make the music that, more than any other music from 1980, I'd be hanging out to hear again in 2007. How little I knew then...
The new CD arrived and sounds great. Thanks for releasing and doing all the hard work getting these songs ready to go. The liner notes are great too. Great work. Turn of the Century still floors me in it's beauty!
