The majority of people that listen 2 Hip Hop & rap music don't pay very much attention to the lyrics that an MC recites in his verses, because their mind is elsewhere. Most listeners put notice on the beat, but if the hook/chorus is catchy, they'll catch on to that 2. But if everyone focused on the lyrical content, then I'd be #1 on nearly everyone's list. Today's fans seem to be more intrested in the artist's life story and how many rocks they rock. It's time to bring back the true essence of an MC, the poetic value & lyrical ability the possess.
Come out & support an effort to prove Hip Hop is NOT dead, as HALUSiN8 uses witty wordplay, cunning metaphors, & powerful punchlines to compete against other Michigan artists on Saturday Nov. 3, at Streeter's for the chance to open for Twista on Nov.16.
