Welcome to Preston's filthy little secret... only now, the secret's out.
If you don't know Beats of Rage, get to know. For 2 years solid, we've been providing Preston with some of the best parties of all time, from secret basement shakedowns to full-on, club-filled rave-ups. We've had guests from across the spectrum of electro, jackin' house & filthy bass nonsense, including Mr Flash (Ed Banger), Toddla T, Jaymo & Andy George (Radio 1), Felix Cartal, AC Slater (Trouble & Bass) and LOADS MORE. But why are we telling you all this? Because we want you to come party with us.
Beats of Rage XXXII // Sat 21st Nov
Halloween. Crikey. Almost 500 people in the building, all dressed up, packing out all 3 floors of Method, and it kicked off! Such a special evening, we were so impressed with everyone's costumes, and the vibes were SICK all night!
So, we thought why not give it another bash?!?! It would be rude not to eh? We've got something a bit special for November, and have decided to put on another 3-floor extravaganza, with a frankly MONSTROUS line-up. We've gone all-out, putting on a ridiculous amount of talent from all over the UK, to make this party absolutely EXPLODE.
But enough chit-chatting, let's get to it!
BAOBINGA
(Trouble & Bass, Fabric) www.myspace.com/baobinga
The Man Who Can. Long-time friend of BOR, Baobinga has smashed it both times he's come over to see us. And after hearing about Method, he told us he wanted to come break in the new venue, by smashing the place up with his heavy bass. We said of course.
Releasing material on the notorious TROUBLE & BASS label, Baobinga has been travelling the world with his Jackin'/Ragga/Bashment/Bass sounds, tearing up raves from Krakow to Shoreditch. Also a Fabric resident, Baobinga knows just what to do, and is a KILLER DJ. Headlining Beats of Rage for a 3rd time. You wanted him back, so we got him. HEAVY.
URCHINS
(Palms Out Sounds) www.myspace.com/urchinsmusic
The two lads from Lincoln who are currently blowing up, Urchins are some of the hottest producers in the UK at the moment, and we've got them back. Getting constant airplay on Radio 1 from likes of Kissy Sellout and Jaymo & Andy George, Urchins are releasing some seriously heavy tracks. Straight-up Fidget with a cheeky edge, the boys are the perfect party starters, and will tear the roof off!
YOUTH ATTACK!
(Kill The Rhythm) www.myspace.com/youthattackmusic "Youth Attack are the gnarliest young upcoming producers and remixes, their history of house party madness is the stuff of legend..." - Bad Sneakers
Two crude dudes from Leeds, Youth Attack! run the infamous Kill the Rhythm night. Kind-of like BOR, but in Leeds. So we know they've got EXACTLY what it takes to tear up some serious tunes when they come over. They also produce as well, and their recent monster 'Yo Paris!' has been blowing up in clubs all over. Imagine Justice with Chest Hair, taking swimming lessons off Daft Punk. BOOM.
JAYOU
www.myspace.com/jayoudrops
Manchester's hottest new act, Jayou is the wonderkid that is attracting attention from EVERYWHERE. Recently picked up by the Mad Decent Blog and personally getting attention from the likes of Diplo, Jayou is set to blow up. Making a kind-of Dubstep/Electro sound that has been designed to tear up the dancefloor, Jayou makes the kind of noise that we adore. Catch this guy before he's off touring the world, basically. ;)
JONNY CRUEL SHOES, THE FILTH WIZARD & TECHNOSEXUALS
Supporting this amazing line-up will be some of Preston's finest DJ selectors. The usual terrible twosome, The Filth Wizard & Technosexuals, will be in full effect, tearing up the dance with their trademark nonsense and heavy bass, whilst we also welcome the incredibly talented Jonny Cruel Shoes, from Preston mega-night Herbal Sessions. We saw Jonny play at the last Sessions, and after seeing his set, we had to get him to come play for us. Playing a cheeky mix of all-sorts, Jonny's record box is like an Aladdin's Cave of tunes, and he'll be digging through it to bring out some gems.
Middle Floor = Big Things
The middle floor will be hosted by the mighty Big Things. Run by the guys behind Beats of Rage, Big Things is the finest hiphop & soul block party this side of anywhere. Party jams, chilled-out beats and the finest hiphop will be played all night by Black Acid, Matt3r and of course, Freshmatic. The middle floor will be transformed into a hiphop boogaloo, with the finest beats being played and danced-to.
Phew, that was a lot of info! Basically, this party is going to be SICK! Some of the finest talent in the whole of the UK, we've picked some of the best up-and-coming producers, for you to see before they blow up. Aren't we good to you?!?! Get on it.

>>>DOWNSTAIRS MIX UP
(Wednesdays in the basement at Method)
The best ideas in life are simple. The Wheel, Cheeseburgers, Sambuca. All simple. All bad-ass.
So, here's another idea for the mix... a filthy weekly rave-up in a basement. Yesss.
Preston's hottest new club, Method, invited us to use their basement "however we see fit" every Wednesday night. Upstairs, they'll be banging out the commercial chart stuff (DJ Karl Yates in the hizouse), so we thought we best keep the underground basement space, well... underground.
Every Wednesday, imagine the hottest tunes in Dubstep, Filthy Electro, Drum n Bass, Hiphop and EVERYTHING in between, and imagine shaking your junk to it all night long. Imagine all this being spun by the Beats of Rage DJs, Preston's cheekiest party-starters. Now imagine paying just a quid to get in, and that drinks are also ONE POUND. Sounds too good to be true? Well, for once, IT ISN'T!
Taking the best bits from Beats of Rage (filthy electro), Drop (dutty dubstep) & Big Things (our alternative hiphop boogaloo), this weekly session will have the walls dripping with sweat as you rave all night. It's literally ONE POUND to get in, and ONE POUND a drink. Seriously, what's not to love??
>>9pm-3am
