Beats of Rage is dead; long live the BEATS... .. ___________________.. Fri 12th March // BEATS ........ ..Times change, things change, people change. .... OK, it's time to explain the mystery. Is Beats of Rage over? Short answer: yes. If you're looking for more detail, read on my friend... .... Beats of Rage was the work of two people and a fictional character called Pete. That's me. The other two people involved were James (aka Technosexuals) & Matt (aka The Filth Wizard). You might know them, you might not. You might care, you might not. But Beats of Rage was their baby and they loved it like a child. Or at least like a family pet. .... Since the August closure of Coda, the rave cave, the magical home of Beats of Rage for almost two whole years, the night has been up & down. Let's be honest here, it's a time for honesty right? Some of them were very very quiet indeed. It seems you lot weren't ready to move on from Coda as quickly as we'd hoped, and Beats of Rage was left a little confused and homeless, like a smelly tramp. Still, eventually we managed to find a new home at Method, where we had an awesome Halloween party with Murkage and Drop, plus that ridiculous NYE shakedown with Hostage, High Rankin and all our friends having a good old-fashioned knees-up. .... So, in early 2010 the Beats of Rage camp is split. James has decided that it's time to call it a day, move on, leave the memories glorious. Whereas Matt is looking forward to reviving the rave in Preston and putting on some more awesome DJs and even more awesomer parties. (And as a fictional character whose only manifesto is to have a rave-up, I'll be going where the party is. So expect to see me whoring my pretty pink face around Preston for The Filth Wizard's new night.) .... So, this is a goodbye note from James, and thus from Beats of Rage as a partnership... The memories are immortal. And the crowd was legendary. As every single DJ who ever came to play always used to tell us, “You guys are so lucky, this crowd is NUTS!”. We couldn't agree more. For everyone who turned up every month and gave it death, thank you. You made Beats of Rage what it is. .... We hope that everyone who has come over the past 2 years to any Beats of Rage nights had fun, and we'd just like to say thankyou.
