Robert Grant is a writer living and working in Berlin for some time now and has just completed my first novel entitled Much more than Mexico. After university in Southampton (England) he was published in a number of small independent magazines including Love Words and Beat, which introduced him to the emerging poetry scene. His first poetry collection was published by Searle of Norwich in 2005 and took the form of a solo spoken word album, entitled ‘The Rambling Man’. This lead to performances on numerous stages, events and festivals all across the world. Since moving to Berlin in 2007 he quickly established a strong reputation as a writer and poet, with articles about him being published in The ExBerliner and the Berliner Morgenpost. "The event is not a slam! It is just great poets doing what they do best and has drawn famous poets from all across the world. It is now the most recognizable English poetry event in Berlin, maintaining strong audiences and attracting some of the most talented poets working today" RGMusic

Ein Wolf; – wie’s Kind aufweckt die Mutter,
Schreit er die Nacht aus ihrem Traum
Und heischt von ihr sein blutig Futter.
Nun brausen über Schnee und Eis
Die Winde fort mit tollem Jagen,
Als wollten sie sich rennen heiß:
Wach auf, o Herz, zu wildem Klagen!
Laß deine Toten auferstehn,
Und deiner Qualen dunkle Horden!
Und laß sie mit den Stürmen gehn,
Dem rauhen Spielgesind aus Norden!
