The 2008 Beaufort Music Festival committee would like to welcome you to a weekend of live music and concerts on multiple stages in Downtown Beaufort and on the waterfront. 2008 marks the 20th year of the festival, a family oriented weekend event with free music and activities for all family members. Concerts will be performed on the Beaufort waterfront, and in the North Carolina Maritime Museum as well as in pubs and restaurants. The music begins at 5pm Friday May 9. The fun continues around town all weekend with these bands:

I wanted you all to know that my old friend and bass player David (Gerichten) died this week. He was there with me at the dockhouse and music festival for many years. He added a great deal of magic to everything we played. I am so sad I can hardly breathe. Please pass this on to the dockhouse crowd. Love, Kitty
