About me: The BAL is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of art appreciation and education in the Golden Triangle. Your membership in the League allows us to invest in many programs including a summer program for children and ongoing art education for our "at risk" youth at the local juvenile detention center. Membership also provides you with discounts for classes and lectures, invitations to artists' receptions, first notice of upcoming competitions, and our annual membership appreciation dinner. Who I'd like to meet: People who are genuinely interested in art and photography as a medium of intellectual and emotional expression. We do have limits as this is a space where everyone (including children at times)comes to see what's happening at the league, so if your space is pornographic, bloody, lots of cussing, anything disrespectful of women, different ethnic groups, religious beliefs etc...please don't request we add you. This is also not a forum for anti-establishment rants, religion, political views, advertising your latest CD, etc. If you are a fine artist/photographer or would like to support the League with a monetary gift or membership, we will add you but the above stated parameters apply. It's been so long since I've done portraits, I will be going to california to get my piano mar 26th and back to work on April 3rd. when I get that outa the way I'll be ready to get painting serious. I want to try some wildlife, elk deer etc. we'll see. ttyl, thanks.
