![]() SUNDAY NIGHT THEMEThe Sunday night theme for Beautiful Days 2009 is FLOWER POWER! Thank you for all your suggestions and we know many of you are already planning some great outfits and accessories for this year. After masks, hats & wigs and our glitter theme last year we wanted to make sure we choose something colourful for 2009 so even if you already have an idea then just add something retro, psychedelic or hippie to your outfit! CAMPERVAN PASSES SOLD OUTCampervan passes have now SOLD OUT and weekend tickets are selling very well so please don’t leave it too late if you haven’t bought yours yet. Adult weekend camping and discounted children's weekend camping tickets are available to buy now from all three of the official ticket outlets www.levellers.co.uk, www.seetickets.com & www.artistticket.com. Tickets will be posted out in July, we will give an exact date of posting nearer the time. PLEASE don’t forget to buy a car routing pass if you are driving to the festival as this will make your entry to the festival easier and quicker. BUS TIMETABLEIf you are not planning to drive then Stagecoach will be running festival buses from Exeter's Paris Street Bus Station and St David's Train Station to the festival and back. You don’t need to book in advance, the buses will be clearly marked for the festival and extra buses will run as needed. The bus timetable for Beautiful Days 2009 is: FRIDAY Exeter > Escot Departs Exeter St David’s at 10am, 12 noon, 1pm & 3pm SUNDAY Escot > Exeter Departs Escot Park at 12 midnight MONDAY Escot > Exeter Departs Escot at 9am, 10am, 11am & 12 noon COOL CAMPING GUIDE TO FESTIVALSExclusive offer! Just enter the code BD2009 in the Coupon Code section at the checkout to receive the discount. 2009 TICKETS FOR ARE ON SALE NOWAdult weekend camping tickets are £100. Children's ticket prices have been held again at £60 for 10 to under 16's, £30 for 5 to under 10's and £3 for under 5's. Campervan passes are £30 and car routing passes which include parking are £10. All tickets are subject to booking fees. Full details, links and terms and conditions are on the festival website www.beautifuldays.org/tickets FIRST ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR 2009The first acts announced for the seventh Beautiful Days festival are The Pogues, Levellers, Hawkwind, The Saw Doctors , Gong, Lamb, Dreadzone, Imagined Village, Dub Pistols, Pendulum DJ’s, Cara Dillon, The King Blues, Eliza Carthy, Imelda May, Lau, Edward II, Kris Drever, John McCusker & Roddy Woomble Trio, John Smith, Sonic Boom Six, Les Truttes, Chris T-T, Jay Jay Pistolet & Ruarri Joseph SITE IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2009We've been working over the Winter putting in new hardcore roads around the site. We're putting trackway into the car parks this year but we will also be opening up a third field for re-entry parking so that not so many vehicles will be entering and re-entering the main car parks which caused problems last year. Also new for 2009 we will have two large undercover seating areas for people to sit down, relax and eat TRADERS & STEWARDS 2009TRADER applications are now being taken, please email info@beautifuldays.org with FOOD or NON-FOOD application in the subject line and we will send you the application forms. STEWARD applications are now being taken through Oxfam. Go to www.oxfam.org.uk/festivals for more information and how to apply UNSIGNED BANDS 2009The first of two competitions is now open for bands to get a slot at the festival. We've teamed up with The Unsigned Band Review www.unsignedbandreview.com to give one unsigned band the opportunity to play this year. Go to the website for details on how to apply. The second competition for unsigned bands will be announced at the end of March. DISABLED ACCESS 2009Information about disabled access is on the festival website. We will once again be offering free tickets for carers, disabled/flat camping and parking - all of which must be booked in advance.
