"Back in the real world" will also be one of the traks on the collection ”Alternative Rock – Sweden” that will hit the stores in oct.

History
Beautiful Grey was formed during spring 2005. The idea was to create a band with the sound of the 70s but still feeling up to date. After several years of writing songs for artists aiming for the charts with no or very little artistic freedom, it was time for a change. The urge to explore the influences of artists like David Bowie, T-Rex, Elton John was the reason to put this band together.
The formers of the band Masen Persson (lead vocal) and Stefan Bergström (guitar) have been professional musicians and songwriters most of their lives. Between 1992 and 1995 they played together and had success in the rock band Skintrade (Polydor). Their videos were played regularly on MTV, and they toured Europe (including the Dynamo Festival and MTV..s Rock Am Ring).
A couple of years later, Masen worked on some new material for his own project. He ran into Stefan on a train trip to the north of Sweden. They liked the idea of working together again, and hooked up a couple of weeks later to jam and write new songs. After a few days work they both knew this was something they had been waiting for.
The first 9 songs were recorded on a minidisk with acoustic guitars and one microphone.
Producer/engineer Ronny Lahti, an old friend and former working partner, was soon contacted. Ronny (Abba, Roxette) liked the Beautiful Grey songs right away and wanted to be involved in the project.
The right feeling and vibe were present from the start of the sessions. All the pieces fit and have created Beautiful Greys back to the roots sound.
