The Beautiful Star Band features Rhiannon Giddens of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, and Eric Robertson and Bennett Sullivan of Beaconwood performing the score of Triad Stage's holiday production of Beautiful Star: An Appalachian Nativity written by artistic director, Preston Lane. The soundtrack includes orginal songs by musical director, Laurelyn Dossett, as well as several traditional holiday tunes.
The soundtrack CD, "The Music of Beautiful Star," is available December 1st at Triad Stage or at www.laurelyndossett.com.
Tickets for preview performances on December 3, 5 and 6, are all $16 each. From Opening Night, December 7, single ticket prices range from $12 to $42. Prices vary depending on the day of the week and seat location desired. During Beautiful Star, there will also be a limited amount of general admission gallery seats available priced at $10 each. Student tickets are $7 and can be purchased 30 minutes before the show as available.
