About me: BeaverWax is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This product has set new standards in the recreational wax industry. BeaverWax is an innovative and practical “all condition” hand poured wax containing environmentally friendly additives.
The unique hand poured manufacturing process ensures that each stick of wax has a uniform amount of slip additives that repel water and reduce friction, ensuring the highest performance possible.
BeaverWax was developed and is manufactured by its user base. We the “riders” produce and promote this superior product. The product was specifically developed to address the problematic experiences that riders have had with the competitors’ products. The development process addresses years of market research and testing.
Our focus at BeaverWax, is to stay true to the needs of the rider and keep the company a rider based organization.
The BeaverWax mission is to produce the finest quality wax for snowboarding, while maintaining our high environmental standards. Our customers demand that we constantly protect the environmental sustainability of BeaverWax, while not disrupting its performance.
BeaverWax presently sponsors local and national athletes. We have also sponsored local events and coaching programs such as Icarus Shreducation. BeaverWax is the official wax sponsor for an international snowboard video production company, First Tracks Productions.
Essentially, BeaverWax is about promoting snowboarding as a lifestyle while providing a superior performance wax that is environmentally responsible for enthusiasts to enjoy. www.beaverwax.com

Predictions for the New Year include historic snowfall of 5-10 feet at Lake Tahoe Thursday, Jan. 3 – Sunday, Jan. 6, according to the National Weather Service. Recent storms have created a substantial base at South Shore Lake Tahoe ski resorts: Heavenly Mountain Resort has 2-3 feet, Kirkwood Mountain Resort, 3-4 feet, and Sierra-at-Tahoe, 2-3 feet.
"The strongest front is scheduled to hit the Sierra on Friday, Jan. 4" said Brian Brong, meteorologist National Weather Service in Reno, NV. "There is a good chance several feet of snow will accumulate this weekend."
"We are completely prepared, fully staffed and with every piece of equipment ready," said Mark Dinger, Caltrans spokesperson. "Our job is to keep the roads open and safe for travelers and that's our plan."
Dinger encourages people to check Caltrans Web site for up-to-minute conditions: www.dot.ca.gov/dist3/departments/mtce/chaincontrlmp.htm or call 1-800-427-7623 or 916-445-7623.
