About me:
"Don't form an opinion about a person by what they are or what they do. Base your opinion on what they aspire to do and be, as this is a clearer window into their soul."

I think I'm a pretty regular person, but a lot of people would probably tell you that I'm anything but. I don't have a lot of really close friends, but this is mainly out of choice, because I don't trust a lot of people. I do have a lot of friends and aquaintances, most of which are fairweather, which is fine. The close friends I do have, though, I consider family.
I have a very diverse taste, artistically. I love to write and every great once in awhile, I pick up a box of colored pencils and sketch whatever it is that's in front of me at that second. My music taste is all over the place, I like everything except for contemporary country. I mean, let's face it... they're mostly covers - or near covers - of decent shit anyway. -- AND I HATE NICKELBACK. -- Just wanted to get that out of the way. I like everything from Led Zeppelin to Ludwig Van, from Michael Jackson, rest his soul, to Marilyn Manson. Yes, I said it. I like Marilyn Manson, and if you read his book, you will, too. As far as T.V. goes, I'm mostly Adult Swim on Cartoon Network and Beavis and Butt-Head (you may covet my ice cream bar, but I've had it since I was a child, you will never take it from me). When I was a kid, I was all about Pete and Pete, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Rocko's Modern Life, etc. Those shows are still great, look them up on YouTube if you've never seen them. Every once in awhile, I get my House on, because I love that crazy fucker. Other than that, T.V. rots your brain.
I'm a lifetime learner, I've been in school for a total of 23 years, which is two years away from being able to draw retirement, if I was getting paid for it. I just got accepted into the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Columbia College. I have my B.A. in Psychology. Let me tell you a little about that, too... When you get a degree in psychology, or even tell people that you've taken a few psych courses, they immediately gravitate to you like you're Miss Cleo or something. Buy a deck of Tarot cards, they can tell you more than I can about why you're obsessed with your ex or why you masturbate too much (which is not possible, by the way).
I've done a lot of different things, everything from factory work to on-line teaching. My life thus far has been... interesting.
I love being outside. I'd much rather go to the creek than go to the fucking bar. I don't believe in God so much as I believe in the equilibrium of male and female forces in nature. The woods, the creek, the rocks, the trees, the sky, the sun, and the moon are walls, floor and ceiling of my church. How many of you can say you go to church everyday, hmmm?
My goal is to visit all 50 states and see something interesting in each one before I die. I want to drive from the east coast to the west coast and I want to drive from Mexico to Canada. I also want to go to Europe, and if the Middle East ever quiets down, Egypt would be nice, too. I have a ways to go on my journey, but I'd like to land somewhere warm with easy access to the ocean. Yeah, that would be fun.
I do have a boyfriend, fellas... Not that I am averse to talking to new people, I'm just not interested in
that kind of arrangement. Don't let that scare you off, though. I'm always interested in talking to new people, unless you're the creepy stalker type that doesn't know how to take no for an answer.
I always welcome people from the past, or acquaintances from the present. If you're a wayward traveller wandering through cyberspace and you happen upon this profile and you think you may know me, don't be shy. Drop me a line or send me an add request, I'm sure I'd love to hear from you.
