Listening to music, reading, watching a little TV, playing video games.
Music
Anything that doesn't suck. That means (right now) I avoid country, most rap, and a lot of pop. In fact, I don't usually listen to the radio anymore because of the vast amount of suck that's being played.
Natasha Waterman is my spotlight artist. She has a powerful and rich voice, something lacking in a lot of artists that are out right now. There is more to music than what you see on the record shelves.
Movies
I haven't gone out to the movies for a while. Let's just say I find them disappointing for the most part. I fear that Hollywood had lost it's imagination and skill a long time ago.
Television
House, American Idol when it's on, Grey's Anatomy.
Books
Just read the first book in the third set of the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen Donaldson. Waiting for the next one to come out. I finished reading "The Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel. His style of investigation makes him come off as intellectually dishonest (I mean, really, discussing current scientific theories with only the people who don't agree with them and then saying they were debunked is not a sign of real investigative journalism, is it?).
Heroes
Many anonymous people who do the right thing and do not seek fame because of it. Many famous people who got their fame because they worked for it and weren't just handed it. People who are famous because they are out of touch with reality annoy me.
You want heroes?
The people (firemen, police, volunteers) who tried their best to rescue people on Sept 11, 2001 and the weeks that followed.
I'm a generalist in a field that consistently seems to require specialization. Oddly, if I specialized in just one thing, I would earn more. Have to love the paradox of IT.

I am a riddle, wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a thin, flaky, crust. I've never been someone who worries about the rat race, because I really don't want to be a rat.
If you want to add me as a friend, and I do not know you, you have to write me a message or I will just deny the request. Seeing as I now require you to know my last name or email address, I guess now you will have to write me a message. I realize that most requests I have gotten have been from fake profiles, but the occasional real person should try and make some contact first. That's just being polite.
Who I'd like to meet:
Too many to name, really. Check my friends list for a start. Most anyone you see there is someone I haven't met but would be thrilled to do so. I know one person in my friends list, and I've seen another in concert. I hope to be able to say that of some others.
Since I say I'm here for relationships/dating, I suppose my dating preference would be handy to put here. I prefer to date women who are ethnically different than me. I am not generally attracted to white women on more than a friendship level. I prefer a petite to average sized woman, you know, the old "height and weight proportional" thing. I'll expand this section as I think of things to write (or people ask me about something specific).
Hey you! I'm worried about them, too. I have friends out in Memphis that I haven't been able to contact. Hopefully, the lines will be back up soon. Thanks for the well wishes!
Hey, I was thinking the same thing about "is." I guess they finally figured it out that people just couldn't get it right, so they removed it all together. And now that they've done that, I find myself relying on "is" more and more.
Thanks so much for all your comments and kind words! It really does mean so much to me...
I've been working quite a bit lately and just returned from NYC so I've definitely been neglecting my MySpace accounts. I'll let you know when there is an album to purchase!
