BECAUSE OF GHOSTS ARE A THREE-PIECE INSTRUMENTAL ACT BASED IN MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA.
.................................................................... Critically acclaimed Melbourne instrumental trio Because of Ghosts’ second full-length album This Culture of Background Noise will be released in September 2008.
The album was tape-recorded in Montreal at Hotel2Tango by Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Silver Mt. Zion) with additional production work from Efrim Menuck (Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Silver Mt. Zion) and guest strings from Thierry Amar and Jessica Moss.
This Culture of Background Noise sees the band returning to their roots - stripped down guitar, bass and drums. Working with developed melodies, raw textures, and established composition, Because of Ghosts have created a mature work, further distinguishing themselves as a unique force in the post-rock genre.

Because Of Ghosts have been performing their own brand of instrumental music since late 2002.
After some well received demos, brothers Reuben, Domenic and Jacob
independently released 'Make Amends With Your Adversary Before Dawn'. This record gained an international release with Japanese label
Wonderground Music.
In 2004, the band independently released 'Your House Is Built On A
Frozen Lake'. This EP established the band's strong Melbourne
following and widened their fan base nationally.
'the because of ghosts live 12" with an etching on side b' was
released through Art School Dropout Records late 2004, consisting of
four tracks recorded live in Sydney. A successful tour of Japan followed.
In February 2006, No More Reason, No More Doubt - Selected Recordings 2002 - 2004 was released on Art School Dropout Records. This release consisted of 11 recordings, including now deleted EP tracks and live recordings.

It's going to be a monster four band pile up on highway 666 as Vultures of Venus crash into the Birmingham on Thursday the 3rd of ..heir debut LP which is now available through I-Tunes has been receiving strong support and favorable reviews from local radio RRR, PBS and Syn Fm. It will also be available in hard copy on the night. This gig is gonna be fun, fun, fun on the Smith st autobahn. Armed with big rock riffs and blazing electrified keys this is the Vultures first show since their sellout LP Launch. This is a band with a plan; and that plan is to make you do the Can Can. Joining them on the night is Mirrorhouse Antics whos live show is a cross between the Arctic Monkeys and The Stooges. They have just released their debut album, recorded at Bakehouse by Mikey from Eddie Current Suppression Ring. Dan Webb's 60's styled Hammond infused insanity is gonna be something to look out for as well as the 'Wise Flys' : they'll make you laugh they'll make you cry, they'll make you laugh about crying. And don't forget to look out for the crazy clown pinyada filled with burning flesh and give away fun toys for the kids. This is a B.Y.O "leotard friendly event ". i also like the use of the word 'because' in your bandname - i feel deeply into the motivation of the metaphysical and the non physical - motivation is also a haunting -
