Alot of pop and hip hop, some country and rap here and there. Just keep away the reggae and techno, thanks.

Christopher Paolini, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Dan Brown, Robert Ludlom, Michael Chrichton, Madeleine L'Engle, Cynthia Voigt, JK Rowling, David Eddings, Kathy Reichs, Tana French, and Terry Goodkind...and about a hundred others...I read all the time.
The Dalai Lama, Scott Vallee, all the soldiers out there sacrificing so much for all of us here and who believe in what that sacrifice is for, and all of the firefighters, police, medical people, and everyone else who helped out on 9/11.
About me: If there is one thing my life has taught me, it's that my past has made me into who I am. There have been moments of deep pain and those of overwhelming joy. No matter the emotions involved, if things hadn't happened to me, I would have learned nothing of myself or the world.
I lead a very busy life and I like it that way. I work full time as a veterinary technician (an animal nurse). It took me a really long time to find something I love doing and something I see as a career. That would be one of those life lessons - working in insurance taught me that I can't handle working a desk job. I just finished school and have only my State Boards left to take to earn my registered vet tech license.
I spend a lot of time volunteering. I'm a Worship Associate at church and Chair of the Scholarship Committee and Support Active Military at the Elks Lodge. By far my favorite volunteer project is the Wildlife WayStation. It's not often you can work 3 feet from lions and tigers and bears oh my!
Weeknights you'll find me studying. Weekends, you can find me all over. Mornings I'm at the Unitarian Universalist church (church being an overstatement). Sometimes you can find me hanging out with my second family at the BPOE.
Sometimes I am out hiking the trails. I love to hike and do as much of it as I can. I've got some hiking buddies who know the Simi trails. If you know other local trails, I'd love to get to know you and hike together.
Weekend nights, sometimes I'm out at Season Ticket or the Arena or PC's. Or maybe I'm hanging out with friends watching movies or having game night. Or maybe I'm trying something new - I'm always up for adventure!

You are good at fixing things. You are usually cheerful. You appreciate being treated with delicacy and specialness.
Quiet, calm, and totally at peace...
You're happy to be at home, wrapped in a blanket, completely snowed in
Whether you're lighting a fire or having a snowball fight, you always feel best in the winter.

A note about adding me to your friend list: the people on my friends list are my real life friends who I know and consider friends. Don't bother sending me an add request if I don't know you. At least take the time to send me a message first. That said, I'd like to meet anyone who feels like talking about all kinds of things. People who love animals. People who are spiritual seekers. People who love books. Runners.
