Maybe not all influences but the music I love= The Killers, Muse, Chicane, Portishead, Mutemath, Eva Cassidy, Jewel, Nina Simone, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Iron and wine, Kings of conveniance, the ruby suns, Sigore ros, IZ, Matchbox 20, Fleet Foxes, eric matthews..... heck so so much music in the world and so little time to appreciate it. I'm kinda varied in my tastes tho., What it comes down to is this: I'm a passionate and expressive person. The biggest influence in my life is my faith... my passion for singing grows each time I can find God in the world around me.. if i can capture even a shadow of what He is to me in song then I am humbled. I hope all my songs come from the heart of God and it my way of sharing His infinite love with everyone who hears it. Yeah and what I need a soap box to be tall enough to reach the top shelf in the shops.
Who is Becca? I'm a passionate person who finds an easy joy in watching a room still and go silent as I begin to sing. After being spotted singing as I washed my dad's car, (by my dad who told me to shhh), when I was 14, I then went on to sing in various settings from cathedrals to beaches, festivals to garden sheds. (I'm not a venuist- I just love singing everywhere!)
I'm into collaboration, (like mixing polka dots and stripes- it can work!) and you can hear my sultry tones on many different records, including the amazing Cicatrix and Robin Mukherjee.
After a two year semi retirement I'm now working on new material, looking to record a first album and will be seen out and about in manchester, guitar in hand, getting back to what I love. Watch this space!
yeah i will have to fully memorize my song structures cause i forget sometimes, but i guess if nobody knows what its ment to be like then i would get away with it
it would be awesome if you came down ! i will let you know when im going to do one,

Becca my beautiful, your new songs have moved me to tears on this grey morning. I particularly love Fading Like This. Lovely addition of a violin on He Waits too - who played it? Your lyrics are amazing and thought-provoking as always, and I love the way your voice so easily conveys fragility at times and tremendous power at others - and it's obvious that the strength and power comes from God. Your songs always make me think and inspire me, so thank you xxxxx
