Books
I think my all-time most memorable book is 'Walden' because I read it at a time and in a place which changed the way I look at life profoundly. 'The Last Unicorn' is pretty meaningful to me, and always 'Another Roadside Attraction' and 'Dhalgren'.
Heroes

Located in a historic building which once was one of the largest fur stores in Wisconsin...I like to say we offer a kinder, gentler version of fur. I am dedicated to spreading my love for animals and advocating for a cruelty free life. Originally from an island in Alaska...I am currently exiled to Wisconsin. In my spare time, I am an artist and also do webdesign and work for a law firm advocating for brain injury education. I have one married daughter. My life is carefully supervised by three cats, a very fuzzy chow and two very lively pit bull mixes. I am the thrower of plastic for the bully dogs. Single, but comfortable with myself and a firm believer in destiny; life is an adventure, it seems to take one where it will. I traded in my boyfriend for a pitbull and haven't regretted one minute of it. I am addicted to nature and have to be out in it every day no matter what.
There is just nothing that makes me happier than taking my dogs for walks in the woods. As long as there are wild spaces and dogs to share it, life is good.

Who I'd like to meet: Old friends, new friends....
Creative, REAL, involved people with interests in the arts, the environment, protecting wildlife and animals of all types, and living life with depth, honesty and compassion. (I am an animal rights advocate and that is my focus on myspace. So I post lots of bulletins about shelter animals, just fair warning. If you don't like pit bulls...well, I do!) I would love to be friends with those that share a love for the earth and all its inhabitants, and are committed to seeing changes in the world.

Knowing that challenges will always come my way, I try to stay upbeat for the long haul. The fight to get my school loans was something - I think I really scared the company that owned them. At the last minute before Default time, they sold the loans to the original owners. But, between my tenacity and Senator Kohl's people in Madison, all is well. The new company approved my claim in very short time. But now, there is such a sorrowful, and anger raising situation. The 5 year old that lives with his mother and us, was beaten really badly last week by a large man. The mother had no idea that he would end up watching her child, and other children. There is a warrant out for his arrest. He fled to Chicago. At home, we are doing all that we can to help the little guy feel safe and loved. The fight to protect the innocent is never ending.
Happy Monday wishez from Raphael! Yesterday mornin’ da momma gave us some of da new kitty food. She gave Avalon tuna with quail eggs, and he ate some of it, but then he moved on to another table to see what was on there. So Kayleigh ate da rest of it! That’s furry strange, ‘cause normally Kayleigh don’t eat tuna! Must’ve been da quail eggs then! MOL! Sure looked yummy enough! Teehee!
Momma’s on a diet, so it’s purrty much green leafy thingies, and carrots and tomatoes for her nowadayz. Sometimes she puts tuna in it, or a hard-boiled egg. Da last time she did that, Biloxi tried to pinch some of da tuna (which he’s never done before), and when he failed at that, he moved on to da egg! Silly Biloxi! He sure cracks me up sometimes! MOL! Pinching food from da momma….

Welaxing Sunday licks fwom Snoopy duh beagle boy! BOL! Boy oh boy, Moccha suwe was in twouble yestewday… He’s always getting himself into a lot of twouble, but yestewday was pwetty bad. Momma has some vewy big candle sticks standing on duh gwound, with candles in them. We don’t know how he did it, but he got some down and ate them! Yuck! Momma was soooo hissed! BOL!
It comes as no suwpwise that wild boy Moccha can wun up duh staiws all by himself now! He’s so wild sometimes, momma’s afwaid he’s gonna come falling down just as fast as he gets up thewe! BOL! Beau on duh othew hand, is a chicky chicken. He stands thewe with his tail tugged between his legs, looking up at duh momma with a sad face… So he still gets cawwied upstaiws (cheeky devil). BOL!

Saturday huggerz from Biloxi! Boy oh boy… have I been eating like crazy lately! MOL! Ever since da momma has been giving me da Bovine Colostrum, I’ve been getting better and better! Nowadayz, I eat three times a day instead of two, I walk around a whoooole lot more, and I’m not such a scaredy cat anymore! I’ve been feeling furry good, and momma says YAY for me! MOL!
Speaking ‘bout food, momma went to another petstore yesterday, and she brought home lots lots of new kitty & doggy food. Momma almost didn’t have room to stock everything! MOL! Da doggiez gotst canned food with pasta in it, and I already had da chance to eat beef with monkfish for lunch, and poultry with shrimps in da evenin’! I ate it all ‘cause it was so yummy! MOL!

Thuwsday again! Phew! Da week goes by so fast! Moonray has been having so much fun duh last couple of dayz! He loves to hang out with duh momma, and now that she’s gotst duh aftewnoons off to watch duh Touw de Fwance, he’s been cuddling up on duh couch with hew all duh time! BOL! He’s such a lazy kitty! But I’ve been sneaking my way up thewe too, I must admit… BOL!
Beau and I have a favouwite sock we always play with. We once stole one fwom duh momma, and by duh time she found out, we messed it up so much, she let us have it! BOL! Sometimes Snoopy doesn’t want us to play with it, so he gwabs duh sock, and evewy time we twy to come neaw it, he gwowls at us! But one way ow anothew, we always manage to steal it back fwom him tho… BOL!
