About Becka Pimenta

ME....

Music to me needs to be honest. The way I write.....if it's forced then I end up giving up on a song. It wasn’t meant to be written yet. Or maybe I'm not saying what it is I really want to say.

I have catalogues of songs that are only 30 seconds long. And then one day I find myself with a song that seems to have poured out of me. It's so precise, so EXACTLY what it was meant to be. And all I want to do is call up all the people in my phonebook and tell them about it.

I come from a small fishing village on the south coast of England...lived in the same house my whole 19 years on this earth, and I think it speaks to the way I am.

I run from change.
And I hate goodbyes.
(But I like to think it’s these things that make life more interesting.)

So what captures me?
Words...melodies...harmonies.

Just....

Bring a simple song.

And so the journey continues...
