Whiskey-voiced Becky Hobbs was born & raised in Bartlesville, OKlahoma. After touring for several years with an all-girl band out of Tulsa, Becky joined Swampfox in Baton Rouge & played with them for a couple of years. Becky landed in Los Angeles, CA as a rock singer, and left 9 years later as a country singer. It took the "City of the Angels' to bring out the "Okie" in the Beckaroo! Once in Nashville, Becky was signed to several major labels. Her songs have been recorded by Alabama, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, Helen Reddy, Shirley Bassey, Jane Oliver, John Anderson, Janie Fricke, Ken Mellons, Shelly West, Moe Bandy, Moe & Joe (Stampley), and more. Her co-written ANGELS AMONG US (recorded by Alabama) has been used for numerous charities, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Becky has performed in over 40 countries throughout the world, including nine countries in Africa. Beckaroo is currently writing a play based on her 5th Great Grand Mother, Nancy Ward beloved women of the Cherokee, soon to be in production.
She lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, guitarist/producer Duane Sciacqua.
