About me: I tell folktales from around the world, participation stories, and with the help of puppets some of the best of today's children's literature. My highly interactive programs invite the audience to learn origami and string figures. I will weave yarns that are sure to entertain you, surprise you, and in the end will surely make you smile. I am a Mid-West girl. It only took me 25 years to get to Texas. I have been a librarian for 20 years. Yea I know boring, but hey someone has got to do the dirty job.Email:beckytells@yahoo.com
Thanks for the add. As a former librarian and a storyteller, I didn't find your bio boring at all. I know just how interesting librarians and storytellers generally are.
*chuckles*
I love folk tales too. Since I started out telling the libraries I also get what you mean about the best of children's stories as well.
I'm working on some pictures books with my daughter right now. Maybe someday, they'll be published and be some of the best too.
Unlike you I've not done string stories but I went to a conference and learned some yesterday so I might be adding them.

Always stoked to meet other storytellers and see what people are up to around the world... Kia ora from little ole New Zealand. Aroha nui from AJ @ Travelling Tales.
We know you love stories. OK, that is a no-brainer. You wouldn't be on our friends list if you didn't! Right? :)
Well, guess what? We are about to celebrate one year of producing Activated Stories online and we are excited! And you can help us party!

"Thoroughly Entertaining" says Starcom on iTunes "The performed stories are excellent and the production is first rate. It's fun, lighthearted, and addicting for the whole family."
By the way, even though it is called a podcast, you don't need an iPod to listen. You can listen on your computer for free.
Each episode is about 15-20 minutes long.
